    Had this guy come out to fix washer and tried to leave with the gasket not on correctly idiot assumed I knew nothing found out I know more than he did just didn't want to spend 100 on parts when warranty is 75 don't use this dude wouldn't trust him around my family very confrontational got into a ******* match with my wife over soap usage and everything we already knew I had to confront him to do his job and get out If there was a negative option I would I have made sure to let everyone I know about it

    An out of tune one man band.JDL was assigned for our Home Warranty. I submitted a claim for my A/C saying it wouldn't always cool and that when I went outside I heard a "hum". He comes by, 8 days after my initial request with the home warranty.He shows up and then misdiagnoses my A/C problem. He said the "Power Saver" box attached to my A/C, which is owned by the power company, is the cause of my problems. I call the power company and they come and get the box. At this point, A/C is completely broke, and it's 90F in my house. The ************* tech looked at the inside and said "your capacitor is out, come look, it's bulging". And it sure was. I call back JDL 5 times. He eventually calls me back several hours later after I had called the ********************* again. He said he can get me in Monday. Mind you it is ALREADY Monday afternoon. So between my initial request and him coming to repair the item, it would be 3 weeks to get my A/C working again.AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!

    Absolutely horrible service. Numerous phone calls and extended appointment availability. **** (the only employee of JDL maintenance) complained when he arrived: I left wallet at home and I dont know if I have enough gas to get home. During his repair of my microwave, he broke the tab for a trim piece. He seemed surprised as the piece flew to the floor. He then said, this happens to these microwaves as they get old. (The microwave is only 3 years old, bought brand new from Lowes).When I confronted him about the broken piece, he shrugged it off. I called my warranty company and alerted them to the situation. They told me that **** had reported to them that the piece was previously broken before he took the microwave apart, which was a fabrication and a lie.I attempted twice to call **** to work it out outside of American home shield. When he finally returned my call, he yelled at me for five minutes and said I was blackmailing him for reporting the damage he caused to HSA. He abruptly hung up the phone. I strongly advise you to switch to a different contractor if you are assigned JDL Maintenance. Very unprofessional. From lying to the warranty company, to yelling at me over the phone, to the I dont have gas and forgot my debit card, the entire experience was incredibly professional. As he yelled at me on the phone, he said, *** BEEN DOING THIS FOR 30 YEARS. If you are a professional thats been doing this for that long, then act like it. Dont lie and shrug off responsibility when you cause damage. Especially as a grown 40+ year old man, these are attributes and character-qualities you should have developed long ago that seem absent.Stay far, far away.
