    Project: Home addition, bathroom, closet and mudroom, 264 sqft. Timeline: Started working with Authentic Home Solutions on 10/15/23 Payment: Paid Authentic Home Solutions around $23,000 (includes permit fees)Details: After failure to show up on job, source subcontractors, lack of communication, and taking over a year to complete such a small project, we sent a letter terminating Authentic Home Solutions from the project. However, when getting a new contractor we found that internal framing, roofing and siding was done incorrectly. We will have to pay new contractor $1,000 to fix framing, $7,084 for exterior fixes and $2,200 for exterior paint and caulk. According to our payment schedule we paid Authentic Home Solutions $9,007.5 once framing and roof are completed. They did frame and roof but didn't do the job correctly and this will severely impact the structural integrity of the addition for years to come. We also asked that they complete the proper paperwork that I emailed them to transfer the permits that we paid them for and haven't done. The original budget for the project was roughly $32,000, we paid Authentic Home Solutions around $23,000 and had about $15,000 left to pay out if they finished the job. Now we will have to spend an additional $42,000 to complete the project and $10,284 of that is fixing the mistakes and negligence of Authentic Home Solutions. Our request is that they refund the last payment we made to Authentic Home Solutions as the work that was done and paid for was insufficient or incorrect. Please see attachments of exterior fixes and framing issues. We are asking for both resolutions:Resolution: Our desired resolution would be that they would refund us for that $9007.5 payment Resolution 2: Fill out permit transfer documents or add a total of $379.26 to refund for us to pull new permits to finish project.
