Last fall I gave Hooiser Contractors a down payment to replace my roof and then they stopped returning my calls and texts. One of their employees finally returned my calls letting me know he wasnt working for them anymore because the owner hadnt been paying them either.Initial Complaint

Hoosier Contractors signed a contract with me on July 26, 2024 to install a new roof on my house.They collected a check for $6000 from me which they cashed on October 17, 2024. They promised to schedule start of work from the date they got the money but I never heard back from them. Telephone calls go unanswered and their office phone is out of service. On 10/16/23, I signed a contract with ******* ****** of Hoosier Contractors to file an insurance claim for damage to my roof, siding, and downspouts due to a hail and windstorm. On 3/14/24, I met with ****** *** to sign a follow-up agreement to pick the colors for the shingles. On 4/26/24, ****** picked up a check for $6,593.75 from State Farm and ***************** for the work on the house. In the months to follow despite repeated communication attempts, I could not get Hoosier Contractors to schedule the work on my house. Eventually I reached ****** **** and ******* ******. **** claimed that my phone number was entered in wrong by one digit, and ****** claimed that his phone had been stolen. I had another check from ********** and *** for $906.77 to pay Hoosier Contractors and handed it over to ****** **** in the late summer of 2024 before it expired for a total of $7,500.72. Despite calls and texts to Hare, *** *****, and **** from October 16, 2024 to December 6, 2024, I was not scheduled for the work on my house. All I got were excuses about the scheduling, production being out-of-town, and poor communication. There was no satisfactory resolution when I complained to ****** **** on October 29, 2024. I want all my money back, punitive damages, and the players to be prosecuted for insurance fraud.Initial Complaint

A contract was signed with Hoosier Contractors 9/14/24. The project was supposed to begin on October 1, 2024, with an expected completion date of October 14, 2024. Despite full payment of $16,000 they received 10/1/24, no meaningful work has been done, and there has been no clear or reliable communication from the company regarding when the repairs will be completed. The company has repeatedly failed to meet scheduled dates, provided no concrete updates, and ignored numerous attempts on my part to resolve the issue.Last attempt 3 weeks ago- no response. Received legal advice- but legal fees are ridiculous. Now out $16k, roof is worse and forced to get a loan to fix since they have not responded. I have grounds for a claim of fraud, as they did cash our check of $16,0000 and breach of contract against Hoosier Contractors. The company has failed to provide the agreed-upon services within a reasonable timeframe, has not communicated in good faith, and has not provided a clear resolution despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter amicably. How are they not in jail? They are stealing peoples money! This is fraud, theft, and unjust! Stop these people from doing this to anyone else!Initial Complaint

Less than a year ago Hoosier Contractors removed old roof & installed new roof. I paid extra to get better quality shingles. I had one leak in my house at that time. It still leaks plus I have 4 additional leaks. Have a 5 year warranty. They do not answer their phone or return calls when I leave a message. I have left 8-10 messages on different extensions. On 6/18/2024, a former employee of Hoosier Contractors LLC. came to my home and went on the roof and found hail damage. He was immediately ready to call my home owners insurance company to file a claim for damage to my roof/siding/gutters/downspouts. I agreed to call and open a claim, as there was damage to all listed items. Claim was filed, approved and was sent money from insurance for repairs to be done.7/17/2024 a different employee of Hoosier Contractors LLC. came to my home in order to pick out colors for shingles/gutters/downspouts etc. Was told that I would need to pay for the job up front once insurance money cleared in my bank account. I ended up paying for nearly half the job and this employee agreed that would be fine to get material ordered and I could pay the rest when project was started. I was also told that someone from Hoosier Contractors LLC. would contact me to schedule my repairs to be done. Check was cashed by Hoosier on 9/30/2024. Months go by, I attempted to reach out in various ways to every contact I had for the company. Some answered, but their response was that they'd get ahold of me in a week to schedule. Then the communication stopped altogether around October-November of 2024. Was unable to get anyone to answer any number associated with the business.I have since filed a complaint with the ************************. Will file with small claims within the next month to have documentation against ****** ***** and Hoosier Contractors LLC. I do hope to get a full refund of the amount paid and cashed by the business.Initial Complaint

Hoosier contractors installed a new roof on our home in October 2023. The roof install came with a 5 year workmanship warranty. We have had issues with shingles coming off our roof and have been trying to contact the company for a month to have someone come out and resolve the issue. No one will return any calls or respond to us. We have reached out to a former employee who sold us on the company who said he's unable to contact anyone either and that everyone is having the same issue.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with this company to replace my house roof and garage roof and gutters. The reason I went with this company was because they had an A+ BBB rating and they would work with my insurance company to get the multiple supplements covered that were missed when my insurance adjuster took photos. I signed my contract in July with promises that my roofs would be completed soon since they are both leaking due to hail damage I received. An employee came and took pictures prior to the contract then more pictures were taken and colors were chosen when we signed the contract. They were in contact with me and my check for $15,675 was picked up from my Bank on Aug 12. After that I did not hear from anyone or receive any response to multiple emails for 6 weeks. I contacted the employee that I signed the contract with and he gave me contact information for the project manager. The project manager contacted me and was very apologetic and implied that the other employee I had been in contact with was no longer there. I was told that my point of contact would be the project manager. He stated they were running behind which I understood since everyone was behind due to the storm damage. I would contact the project manager every week or 2 and was assured on that my project would be pushed up since both of my roofs are leaking. I was promised it would be completed each month by a particular date and I am still waiting Dec 17 with roofs that are leaking. At this point I would not trust them to complete the job correctly. I have called and texted multiple people with no response and voicemail is full for all departments. I have sent multiple messages stating I want my money returned .I will now have more extensive water damage to deal with in my home and have to find another contractor. I have essentially provided this company with a free business loan for 5 months. I want my money returned immediately
