      This storage business is going to run themselves out of business with their rent schedule. They get you in then they raise the rent 3 times a year by 30%. Not a general 5 to 10% but 30%. These people are taking advantage of people that dont have the means to get their things moved. I would steer clear of them at all costs.

Prices on self-storage have been rising but our prices are still below market value, and we still offer competitor prices. We offer a great product at a great price even with the occasional increase.

      First Id like to say, very unprofessional. I call to speak to management, they never get back with in a timely manner.I have been using storage of America for over 2 years I placed my items in storage and moved to ********4 months ago I was late making a payment on my storage unit and they cut my lock off and placed their own red lock on my unit. Took weeks to hear from them to gain access to my unit. When I went to get my items from my unit I realized nothing was moved but my items were missing. No sign of a break in because my furniture was still where I had it. I had over 30 pairs of retro Jordans missing from my storage unit along with 2 missing smart TVs. I have reached out to speak to their corporate team and their renters insurance policy, they have made no attempts to contact me. They require renters insurance but they dont have any way to contact them to file a claim. I want my items returned or the money I am entitled to for my missing items. I am lost for words on what my next steps should be. Its going on 2.5 weeks and still no return phone call or emails. I did file this with the police and they said it was a civil matter. What do I do now??

      Thank you for taking the time to review. We sincerely apologize about the issues that you have incurred. We are always trying to further improve security at our sites. If your lock was not tampered with no one could have gotten into the unit except someone with a key. Unfortunately, with the Tenant Protection Plan, you cannot make a claim unless the lock or latch showed signs of forced entry. If you gave a key to someone that is where the police should start. If something gets stolen you would have to file a police report, then we provide the detectives with any footage found and let them take it from there.

      I just received a "30 day" notice of a 400% increase on my 3 storage units. I though the company's goal was to attract new customers not lose the ones they have. Makes no sense. There is a management issue which needs to be considered before renting any storage unit. Apparently I expected better treatment over the long term. Be careful.

      Location: *************************************************************** I've been using their storage since 2020 and I also purchased insurance. . I went to my storage on 5/29/23 and there was a red lock on my unit. I asked why there was a red lock on my unit. On 5/30/23 I found out my unit was robbed. These items included things of my mom who is now deceased. I was told I couldn't file an insurance claim because I didn't have the right locks on my unit. I asked how could it be I didn't have the right locks when I purchased for the manager **** on the first day I rented the storage. They were not interested in helping me, and I ended up filing a police report on 5/30/23. This business is very misleading. They advertise they have surveillance but they don't because my belongings were stolen. They also advertise they close at 11pm when they actually close at 9pm. The price has also changed dramatically since I first begin renting a storage unit.

We are always trying to further improve security at our sites.Our tenant protection program is in place to help protect tenants' belongings in case of an incident. When signing the agreement, the agreement stated that it would only be applied if you had our disc lock on your unit.We do have access hours from 6 AM to 9 PM and have surveillance cameras available throughout the site. If something gets stolen you would have to file a police report, then we provide the detectives with any footage found and let them take it from there.Please give us a call if you have any other questions or concerns.

      Raises price very sneaky. Lots of emails but when price increases wont email. Get obscure postcard in mail. Hard to cancel and never got free month

      Hours are wrong. It says open at 9 but they open when they get ready to. I came in Saturday to pay my unit at 3pm. I called to see what time they close early Saturday morning. I came in at 3pm and the office was closed.

      Went to move some things yesterday and unit full if ants dead mice and droppings! Had to throw everything away!! My question is who pays for my stuff??!!

      HORRIBLE! ******, ******** April the storage manager will never step to the plate and take ownership of her facilities raggedy conditions. This storage facility got my unit ruined with water. I lost clothes *** shoes. GOOD ITEMS RUINED BY THEIR FAULTY FACILITY AND THEY DONT WANT TO COVER THE DAMAGES THAT THEY CAUSED ME. DO NOT STORE ANYTHING AT STORAGE OF AMERICA!!!!
