Took my Semi truck in for a clutch repair. ***************** Service replaced a clutch for my truck. A week later after the clutch was installed, my clutch (same one this repair shop replaced) started having issues. I took it into Tri-State Truck Center Dealer in ******** to investigate. The root cause was that the ***************** body shop installed my clutch (Disk) backwards. Tri-State plant contacted ***************** about this. The body shop is refusing to fix the issue, reimburse me for this issue, or honor the warranty. I paid over $4000 for a clutch that they put on backwards (clutch disk) and a week later breaks. How is this right? If the clutch disk was put on backwards, it would cause the clutch to burn & deteriorate, which in this case it did. A claim was submitted to ***** who makes the clutch and they denied it based off of "Driver Error", yet confirmed with them that if the clutch disk was put on backwards it would cause the clutch to burn up. *****************************, the service Manager denies being at fault, denies reimbursement, and denies repair of a fault that his mechanics created.

The customer is correct and we improperly installed the clutch.  We needed to confirm that with ***** Transmission before contacting the customer.  Our service manager will call the customer today and offer him a full refund.
