    THEY DIDN’T FEED MY DOGS!
My dogs stayed for 5 nights. I packed & labeled (date, name) the exact amount of food & supplements in quart size bags for each dog. All they had to do was put the food out. I also packed slow feeders for each dog because they eat too fast.
On pickup, I was given back 8 bags of unused food (4 for each dog). I asked the manager if they were fed that morning. She “don’t know” but says camera looks directly over my dogs’ kennel. Owner says she “can’t view into the kennel.” Tim comes in at 5am-7am & 5pm-10pm to feed. Mgr & staff are there from 7am-7pm. Tim is alone & knows where cameras are located & which kennels can be seen by cameras. Tim says, “I fed your dogs” but “I don’t know why you have extra.” Tim says Zuki ate all his food & tried to eat Cooper’s each time, but can’t explain why Zuki wasn’t fed 4 times. He claims that the first night Cooper didn’t eat all his food. He cannot explain the other 3 missed meals. The manager tells me that Tim is supposed to report when dogs are not eating so that they can notify pet parents. Tim didn’t follow protocol. If he picked up the food because they weren’t eating (as he claims) then why did Zuki chew on his food bowl? This shouldn’t have even been left in the kennel at all. It’s a hazard! So, hoping he didn’t ingest any of the plastic.
The staff is sticking with the excuse that my dogs “must not have eaten” as “this sometimes happens”. In other words, they spent 5 nights with my dogs & must know their eating habits more than I do in the 2 yrs (Zuki) and 9 yrs (Cooper) that I’ve had them. My dogs have been boarded multiple times & have NEVER had an occurrence where they didn’t eat. (They have slow feeders for a reason.) It’s also a little suspicious that BOTH dogs didn’t eat the same amount. (Not likely.)
Owner refunded our money for the stay but cannot provide any proof that our dogs were fed during their stay. Watch out for Tim! No one seems to know what he does while he’s there all alone.
