I tried renting an apartment with them paid the application fee and they said there was a required holding fee as well so I also paid that. My credit was well above standard to be approved and I made more than what what was required per month, but they denied it anyway and never gave the holding fee back. I called for months almost twice a week and even got corporate involved. It has now been five months and nobody has even called me back and when I call now I either have to leave another message or they just won’t answer. Their company is shady to say the least. Do not even apply. Waste of money and you will not get your holding fee back.

All properties managed by Denton Floyd in Lexington (Caballo Crossing, Tates Creek Crossing, Crystal Gardens, Cross Keys Wooldridge, Eastland Hills) are the same song-and-dance. Online listings claim that apartments are available for lease. Website bot tells you how to schedule a tour of a property. Texts and emails confirm the scheduled tour time. No property managers or owners on site to conduct the tour at the scheduled time. You call the office, but nobody picks up the phone. You leave a voicemail, but nobody acknowledges or responds to the voicemail. Why are these people still allowed to run this business? This is unethical and criminal behavior.

Tried to rent an apartment from them (Lofts on Ormsby) from out of town. Could not get anyone to answer the phone. Left messages, never replied. Decided to fill out an application in case they had an apartment available for my desired move in date in August, figuring they would let me know upon receipt of the application. Paid a $50 application fee and a $100 deposit. Waited a month, still had no idea if they actually had an apartment available for me). Sent several emails through their website that were ignored. Finally decided to rent another apartment and several weeks later received a call from C. Williams at Denton Floyd and informed her of the situation and thought I should receive my deposit back since I had to rent elsewhere due to lack of communication. She asked me to forward the emails that proved I tried to get ahold of them. I did so immediately. Still didn't hear back. After nudging her again, she wrote back a terse email: "Thank you for your request. Unfortunately we are only able to refund deposit holds if your application was denied." The money is not a huge issue, but it is really poor customer service especially for someone trying to rent from out of town. I thought if their communication was this bad with a prospective tenant, imagine how bad it would be once a person signed a lease. You just shouldn't treat people like that.

I have lived in this property for 3 years I have holes in my walls doors that don't fit door frames, letting cold and hot air in. I have a sagging subfloor, a ceiling that has caved in over my tub. outlets that stick halfway out off of the wall roaches that I cannot get rid of common areas that have never been cleaned since I've lived here mini splits that leak and poor water and almost fell off the wall nearly hitting my fiance's head which was extremely traumatizing. MOLD. work orders that go ignored or half done a bathtub that peels not to mention the amount of Hispanic people that live here who I have spoke with and seen be either discriminated against or lied to and charged hundreds and hundreds of extra dollars for things that legally they should not be charging them for including moving out of a condemned apartment. My friend was charged a $300 moving fee when the responsibility lies on them for not fixing the issues that caused the condemnation in the first place I am disgusted I have always hated this place and now I may end up homeless with my 2-year-old and family. all I can do is scramble to try to find a new place to go & on top of this they are attempting to evict me after lying about giving me notice before evicting me they say they gave me notice on Sunday May 7th, they are not in office on Sundays. Their sign says so as well. I am lucky enough to be receiving assistance but this assistance only matters if I can find a new place to live. My fiance and I are trying to find permanent employment so that we can try to move somewhere else instead of paying them three months rent ahead on an apartment that has been condemned I will state that I do owe them at least two months of back rent but this is the toughest time that we have had in our lives as a family and for the majority of the time we lived here we always paid on time and in full until we began to struggle about a year ago. They lie & cheat and the living conditions here are uninhabitable. Thanks

Paid a 390 deposit for an apartment at Urban Flats and then got radio silence from the agent I was emailing for almost a month. I've called and no one answered, and tried to go to the office in person but no one was there at 3 pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Now I have 13 days to find a new apartment before my old lease is up and I'm homeless
