    I believe that Save a life is a great initiative! It is accesible for everyone and at any time. In the medical field we don't always have time to get the certification in person (although this is definitely the ideal way) and sometimes we are forced into sending a certificate immediately in order to keep your job or get a new position because it suddenly becomes a requirement to have this or that certification. This course has saved me many times and I plan to continue using its wonderful resources in the future and share it with my colleagues and friends who might need it as well.

    I took the NHCPS online course for Advanced Cardiac Life Support. I am qualified to compare the NHCPS online course to a standard in-class course because of my background as a retired instructor of Medical Laboratory Assistants, an ECG Lab supervisor at a university teaching hospital, and a volunteer CPR and First Aid instructor for the Red Cross. The NHCPS pedagogy is sound. The resuscitation algorithm is very similar to that used at University Health Network and Hamilton Health Sciences. It is a self-paced course, so the student can re-try the exam until mastery is achieved. That is the ideal method for training adults in the workplace, especially if English is not the workers' first language. The ACLS course gives a thorough review of basic cardiac life support before presenting the necessary drugs and airways, so it is quite comprehensive. The ECG strips are very clear and easy to read. I would recommend this ACLS course by National Health Care Provider Solutions because of its superior instructional design.
