      Signed for apartment a little over a month before the current tenants moved out. They promised it would be deep cleaned and painted before we moved in. The day we were supposed to move in there was still black mold, dead roaches, sticky cabinets, marker on the walls, toilet sinking into the floor, missing light covers, mouse droppings on the floor, broken appliances, holes in closet doors and walls. They asked for a few more days to work on correcting the is***s they apparently didnt notice after doing a deep clean. Three weeks later it was still a disaster. They gave us the option to cancel the lease and give a full refund on deposit and payments. We gladly accepted. Were at day 47 and our deposit and fees have still not been returned. Their manager tried to tell us the 45 day rule only applied to weekdays. She stated in a call after I informed them I was getting a lawyer that it had been sent out in the mail and we should get it any day now, then 5 minutes later it was electronically deposited in our account but we just cant see it yet. It has still not been deposited into our account. Its ridiculous that we have to *** them to get the deposit back from an apartment that we never even lived in due to their negligence. Zero stars

      Will not fix your problems and will charge you for them. If you want to pay fees for the raw sewage that leaks through walls then rent with BK! Bonus points if you get to deal with their incompetent management. BK does a lot of good for the community.....

      In general, this is a dumpster fire of a company. They do not fully fix problems upon reporting them after moving in as they claim they do in their lease, have randomly raised the price of laundry (which though legal is ONLY legal due to a loophole), and generally have no regard for their tenants above sources of income for the company. This company has been buying up properties according to some people who have been here in West Lafayette longer than I have, and they don't have the staff to manage that amount of property whatsoever, let alone do it effectively. At the end of the lease, I'm out. Just straight up done. I've been lucky to not have any genuinely horrible situations come up yet, but almost falling off of a balcony because of a broken railing which we weren't told about is negligent at best, not to mention they took well over a week to fix it, and only did so after myself and my roommates all filed complaints.

      We have been renting from Bk management, at *******************************************************. We have been living here for 5 months and the whole experience has been awful to say the least. 3 months into renting we started to experience a leak in our bedroom from the apartment above us. We also have been fighting a very bad ***** infestation coming from a surrounding apartment. We called Bk management and explained the issue about the leak. They sent someone out who was new and didnt know what to do. After getting into the apartment above us, he came to talk to us, he said there was a foot of trash or more in the mans apartment with bugs crawling everywhere, so he couldnt do anything. He assured us something would be done about the mans garbage and nasty apartment upstairs. We have and infant so we ended up moving our bed into our living room because we didnt know what kind of liquid was coming through our ceiling. Fast forward 2 1/2 months nothing had been done about the leak even after calling many times. One call ended in a Bk management employee telling us we were making up the whole situation about the leak. We ended up fixing the leak ourselves and have continued to buy ***** spray to keep the roaches under control. We still kill about 50 a day. After many tenants called and complained about the ***** issue they finally sent out an exterminator which hasnt fixed the issue. After a ******** post was made and the health department was contacted about the awful apartment above us, Bk management finally started to do the bare minimum to resolve any issues we have. All we have asked is for us to be let out of our lease. We can not continue to live in a ***** infested building with an infant.

      The property managers do not take care of their property. The property in *********, ******* ********************************************** is over ******** cockroaches. They've known about this for months and just within the last couple days started taking steps to help with the situation only because there was tons of pictures posted on ******** and because the health department got involved. Multiple tenants have asked to be let out of their lease and to be given their security deposit back because of the situation. They're very slow too respond. Not sure how to add pictures or I would add multiple pictures.
