    Took my ring there to get a diamond replaced and the rest of the ring shored up. Was assured they would check it all over and repair what was needed. Picked it up Sept. 18th and paid $280. They said they replaced the diamond, re-tipped 2 prongs and tightened 6 other prongs.Noticed this weekend (less than a month later) and another diamond is missing. Took it in to have them take a look and was basically told that I just paid for the minimal repair so I would basically have to start over with payment for very extensive repairs but they would not guarantee it wouldn't happen again. If they noticed that more extensive repair was needed to keep another one from falling out but why didn't they call to ask if I wanted to?I felt assured that when I got it back that it was good to go and would be safe to wear.

    Mrs. ***** Fruits came in on 09/07/22 with her engagement ring to have a diamond replaced that had fallen out. While she was here we found 6 additional loose diamonds and would need to re-tip 2 prongs to hold in the diamond we were replacing. We quoted $265 plus ************* sales tax for the repair and diamond replacement.

     

    A few weeks later Mrs. ****** came back in and another diamond (not one replaced or re-tipped by us) had fallen out and was lost. We offered to replace this diamond for free, but could not guarantee that this would not happen again on diamonds that we had not worked on. The ring was not originally purchased from us and has 40 to 50 diamonds set throughout the ring. We worked on the diamonds that we saw that needed immediate attention. While we guarantee the work that we do, Mrs. ****** would need to take the ring back to the original seller for any guarantee on the rest of the ring.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

    [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] The business lied about offering me a free diamond replacement. What I was offered was I can show you a side view of your ring. I said so what you are saying is that I am just out of luck and would have to pay for another diamond and more repairs. That is when I was offered a chance to view the ring.

    If the business is now offering a free diamond replacement then I would accept and pay for the necessary repairs so that I can start wearing my ring again.
