      Good morning,
My wife had an accident in a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer on May 3rd, 2024.
The vehicle has 1400 miles on it.
We scheduled the vehicle to be repaired at Chandler Chevrolet in Madison, Indiana.
They could not start on it until May 20th.
We dropped it off on May 20th. Service Manager **** ****** said it would take 2-3 weeks.
We were not called to pick it up until July 1st. We were told it was done.
We went in and paid for the work.
Then went to pick up vehicle. It was still damaged from the accident and the left quarter panel was damaged by the dealership. We did not pick up.
We were called again on July 16 to pick it up.
The vehicle was still damaged but we were told parts were on order and he would call when they came in.
My wife drove vehicle to our home, 2 miles away, and nearly had another accident. The steering had not been repaired and it was so dangerous to drive, it had to be towed back to dealership.
We then were called to pick it up on August 5th. The damage was not repaired but the steering was repaired. There was additional damage, lower panel, caused by the dealership.
The dealership did not offer a vehicle to drive so we had to pick up.
We were told by **** he had no idea when it could be repaired.
They had been paid in full on July 1st.
At this time we have no idea when it will be repaired or if they are capable of repairing it.
I contacted the main office of Chandler Chevrolet by phone and email the received an email from ***** ******. I was told someone would contact me and basically there was no need for me to contact them anymore. No one has contacted me.
I do not believe Chandler Chevrolet can repair the vehicle properly.
      They have proved that.
We are driving around in a wrecked vehicle we paid to have repaired.
I contacted Chevrolet and filed a complaint. A case number was created. I also spoke with someone that may help expedite parts for the vehicle. They are to contact dealership.
Your time and help will be greatly appreciated.

      To Whom it May Concern:

Please accept this letter as our response to the complaint filed by *** ******* *****

The 2024 Blazer belonging to *** *** **** **** was delivered to Chandler Chevrolet on May 20, 2024. **** ******, Body Shop Manager, informed *** **** that the repairs would require approximately 2-3 weeks. However, due to an influx of hail damage repairs in the area, the process took longer than expected. Throughout this period, **** communicated with *** **** no less than once a week regarding the status of the vehicle. The damage *** **** reported as being caused by the dealership was pre existing hail damage. During the time his vehicle was at our facility, *** **** agreed to pay $1,000 for the repair of the hood's hail damage, but declined to cover repairs for the rest of the vehicle, including the left quarter panel. The vehicle was not picked up because *** **** requested a bumper readjustment.

During inspection, **** discovered the right bumper cap was warped and needed replaced. When it became clear the part was going to be delayed, *** **** opted to pick up his vehicle until the part arrived. *** **** later reported a steering issue which he felt was dangerous. For his comfort, we had the vehicle towed back to our Body Shop at our expense. Upon inspection, it was determined that only an alignment was necessary, and the concerns raised by *** **** did not indicate any safety issues. The alignment was completed the test drive indicated no other issues.

On August 5, when *** *** **** **** collected their vehicle, they again were informed that the right bumper cap was still on backorder and that the damage to the lower panel was not attributable to the dealership, but rather related to the accident, which had gone unnoticed in initial inspection.

We strive to provide loaner or rental vehicles to customers who indicate a need; however, at no point did *** ** **** **** express such a requirement during this process.

The Body Shop received the right bumper cap on August 26, 2024, and *** **** was contacted the same day to schedule an appointment. He is scheduled to drop his Blazer off on September 3, 2024. AT this time, the bumper and the lower panel will be repaired. As a courtesy, we have also agreed to repair the additional hail damage on the vehicle at our own expense.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (**** ********. Sincerely,

      ***** ********
