I rented a 10x10 storage locker from this company, I paid them for a Insurance policy protecting my property in case of damages or theft. It Is mandatory to have Insurance Coverage. Anyways I received a Text message from Management claiming they found my storage locker door open and accusing me of having an animal in my storage because I was storing their supplies with the rest of my property. The unit was securely locked using the lock they provided me, it was a combination lock. I immediately went to the storage unit and moved my property out of there and I discovered my Autel Maxi System scanner was missing. Whoever entered my storage unit stole my scanner. The manager is refusing to honor the insurance policy sold to me. This place selling the insurance is a scam. They will not give me a copy of the video footage. I have the right to know who stole my property

    Business Response

    Date: 10/28/2024

Please see attached copy of the email between Mr. ***** and myself.

This email was not received until October 16th.  The original complaint to Mr. ***** was processed on 9/23/2024 at 9:01 AM.  We found the unit to me ope and containing animal feeding supplies.  The litter box and ****** were positioned in a way that it appeared the tenant was using the unit for feeding of live animals.  In addition we found no evidense of the locks being tampered with or being cut.  Additionally we found Drug paraphanillia in plain sight.  Even though these are all violations of our lease we still offered to let the tenant file an insurance claim.  The information was provided to the tenant in the attached email.  We did state that we would not support his claim.  Meaning we will make our statement on the side of the insurance providor.
