Guest House: Upon entering the home, we immediately noticed broken glass shards in the outer door. The paint was peeling from the ceiling in the doorway. We would later discover black mold in the same doorway behind a picture frame containing a saying about their high standards. Live bugs were moving about in said frame. There was also black mold in the downstairs bathroom.Things would continue to go down hill from there. The site lists satellite tv. While a satellite can be found on the property, it is not active. Owner stated we had access to dvd players on TVs throughout the house - this too was untrue. There was one broken one. We were advised a couple days prior that there would be no hot water upstairs. Upon arrival there was no hot water downstairs as well. The first floor sink was backing up and the hot water nozzle did not work, which we were told may not have ever worked but someone attempting to clear the clogged drain. Overall the house was dimly lit with broken bulbs, to which we were informed would not be replaced. After going outside, it was discovered that there was a giant hole in the side of the house which was uncovered. The owner after much disgust stated it was being worked on for the past 2-3 months and that we had nothing to worry about as anything in there could not get into the main house. He claimed the it was to the attic with no access to the main house. This was a nightmare. He refused to fix anything, and stated we could leave and get a refund the following Monday, which did not happen. It was moved to the following Friday and he sent back as goods and services incurring fees for us. We had to spend more time and money going back and forth from a town over 30 mins away to join the rest of our family at the state park.Renter beware! This house wasnt worth the amount being charged to begin with and the property is in disrepair.
