Per Schepel Buick-GMC ************, *******, GM warranty denied repairs on my 2023 GMC Terrain, stating the leaking after market oil filter that was done at a non-GMC dealer (06/11, oil change ***** 1300 s. 1st st Willmar, Mn *****, ************************* ************) was the cause of 4th cylinder misfire and a full ************** need to be replaced which would cause me to pay $7800.00 out of pocket. Per GMC their customers cannot go to non-GMC dealerships & the ************************* Act is bogus. I requested a escalation with dealership who says, warranty ofc then dispatched A GMC Field Engineer which was scheduled to look at my vehicle on 07/11/2024 to verify the warranty claim denial but now supposedly not scheduled now until next week but no confirmed date yet. GMC Executive Ofc. ********************, Case#9-13178056001 has not gave me any new information today 07/12/2024 on the escalation other than confirming everything I had already told them since 07/08/2024. Nothing resolved. I was able to even have ******************* ************ at auto parts.net who is the filter vendor that supplies ***** to call & speak with service **** at Schepel to dispute on our behalf this is wrong and requested pictures of the filter they took off my Terrain to be sent to him (dealer declined) My 2023 GMC Terrain has had steering wheel peeling replaced, child seat anchor replaced, a thermal wrap installed to protect the turbocharger bc moisture had to be blown out of turbocharger, wastegate regulator solenoid valve, vac removed & flushed, check engine light on & then before get to dealership is gone (on star print out reduced engine power, onstar diagnostic shows I had trouble), fuel pump replaced, now this trouble having to pay to re-build my engine. ( I have receipts of all of these repairs done at ************** in ********, **************** Chevrolet in *******, **). I need help in resolving this issue. My vehicle is in *******. I live in *********. I want my vehicle repaired under my warranty.

Customer came in after towing u haul trail with engine light on and bad misfire in engine oil all over back of vehicle. Tech found oil filter leaking could not remove oil filter too tight had to use 3-foot torque bar to remove filter. It was an aftermarket part leaking not GM not warranty. Meanwhile GM. sent an engineer out to inspect found same result, Meanwhile but GM is going to repair as a customer Enthusian not warranty repair one time only. So, GM is covering the cost of repairs. This is not Schepel issue customer has trashed are fakebook page with bad reviews we offered to tow the vehicle back to their hometown in ********* at no cost to them they declined. They are also driving a rental car that gm and we are helping with.

Thanks, if you need anything more let us know.
