    On 07/21/23, I moved in my unit at the Merrillville location with the quote of under 100 a month. I asked how much was their increase and the lady(I forgot her name) said no more than 5 to 10$. I told her great because the public storage I was moving from was increasing 50$ at a time. Well now I'm facing the same thing because between then and today I've had almost 4 increases which truly unfair for someone that just moved into you facility less than SIX MONTHS. I tried talking to management there but it's to no avail. ****** is absurb!

    This customer was contacted today by phone by *********************** the district manager for this ******* region. She is renting a 10 x 20 storage unit that normally rents for over $200 a month and she is only paying $156 a month in rent. When she first rented with us back in July 2023 the rate was $120 per month. She received a promotional discount of three months at 50%. This is a month-to-month contract and typically rent increases can occur to try and recoup expenses for landlord and tried to raise the rate to standard market rates overtime. The customer understands this and did not realize how big of a unit she was renting or how much it was discounted. The district manager gave her his cell phone number to call her anytime and she was satisfied. She said the matter is resolved.
