I took my car to Apex Auto Care Michigan City Indiana due to my car would not start sometimes. I took it to O'Riley's first who found nothing wrong with it in diagnostic report. They said May be a gas filter needs dusting off. It continued to happen so I took it to Apex who said I need a new alternator. They replaced alternator and alternator connector. After I left I noticed one of the wires on a brand new alternator wire was cut the black one. Driving my car would now over heat and smoke (white). One day driving serpentine belt broke and car died and I could not start it with my key. It was left in a parking lot over night. I had it towed to Apex, and the mechanic Bryan I handed him my key thinking he needed it, got in my car started it up and drove it inside the garage. I asked him how did he do that I couldn't start it. He said you don't need a belt to drive it but you can't drive it far. I said I couldn't start it. I also showed Bryan the cut wire from the alternator connector they put in and asked him is this wire suppose to be cut. He said you don't need that. It was the ground wire which keeps the car from over hearing and my car was overheating and smoking and I would have to pull over until it cooled off. Wow! They replaced the belt. Couple weeks later my car died at someone's house and had it towed to Apex once again less than dirty days of all this. They said it was the starter so they replaced it and said car still wouldn't start saying on receipt bad motor won't start. They said head gaskets broke and showed me under the hood looked like they took oil and poured it all over the engine and under the bottom part of hood. A crack in head gaskets won't leave a mess like that. Mechanic Pete asked me for the title of my car so I won't have to pay. They were paid I took car. Having another mechanic look at motor who was able to turn that fourth gear on the engine said it's not bad engine My key was not the way I gave it to them someone been inside it THIEVES
