I am rejecting this response because: The statements made by City Heating are false. I purchased this home in December. In June I put CA on. Silverfish were crawling out of vents as to why I dc use of CA and went into crawlspace myself to inspect and applied pesticide.  I did not find nor claim mold existed but did see that the CA was left to drain into the dirt crawlspace as to why I contacted City Heating for an estimate. I was told **** was recovering from knee surgery and he couldn't come personally and go into the crawlspace. I called and hired ********************** to apply pesticide inside and outside perimeter of the home. I hired ***'s ************ to remove rotten trees near home and hired ******* Seamless Gutters to install new gutters. I never received an estimate from City Heating but a month later received a past due notice for service fee.  I never asked for service from City Heating to inspect for leaks, bugs, nor mold.  I hired City Heating in 2016 to install a   new furnace in previous home- ************** and hired them in January to clean furnace in current home. Never had an issue in the past. I was pleased with past experience, but this current experience is mind blowing. I sent payment certified mail for services never rendered and received my check back from City Heating enclosed with a statement due. I will not do any further business with City Heating after this confusion and dishonesty. My mailbox has never been full and only one message was received on either August 2nd or 3rd to which I returned call and **** stated that Thursday he would come out No Show No Call. (Was it due to receiving BBB complaint notice?) City Heating message machine wouldn't take any messages on that Thursday.  By then, I had given enough chances and had ******************* provide estimate.  All I want now is clarification. Not certain why my check was returned with a new statement balance due. Is City Heating deleting charge? If so, I would like a statement that does not reflect a balance due and be done with this nonsense.

and bug. FALSE. I went into the crawlspace myself and told them exactly what the issue was. The employee went into the crawlspace, saw the pipe I directed him to, then came out of the crawlspace and made the remarks stated above about options and getting back to me about an estimate.

This is the first time we have received a notice of this complaint. **************** called saying she had a mold problem in her crawlspace in the home she had purchased earlier in the year. She wanted an estimate to repair the problem. She was told we do not do free estimates for repairs and suggested she call the company that did the original installation. They refused to correct the problem. Our technician gave her options to do the repair. We tried contacting her several times and her voicemail was full. When we finally were able to speak with her we told her what would be the easiest way to solve her water problem from the ac drainage. This was not an emergency problem since the technician did not see the mold that she said she had. We have been overwhelmed with replacing air conditioning systems for customers who have had issues with their systems in the intense heat that we have had. The finance charge would have been dropped if she had asked.

The first thing this customer stated was that she had black mold in her crawlspace. She was told we do not give free estimates on repairs. Our voicemail is never full since we check it on a regular basis. We can not take a chance of having a full voicemail. We have sent her check back and cleared the invoice from our records. This was not an emergency situation and with the heat we have had this summer we were taking care of customers with air conditioning problems first. **** had tried to contact her and could not get through. An invoice had been sent previously through **** mail but we all know what can happen with that lately.

      Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: City Heating employee seems confused regarding information provided and what was requested. An estimate was requested. I was told **** could not come out himself since recovering from knee surgery. I stated due to silverfish coming out of my vents is why I went into my crawlspace and found the issue- CA was left to drain into the dirt crawlspace. I stated I am discontinuing use until resolved so mold does not occur.  I hired ******************* to clean my vents since City Heating doesn't offer this and would have hired ******** regarding CA had she informed me City Heating's schedule was full. I   had chosen City Heating due to good past experience. This current experience has been the opposite. What a shame. Spent the summer w/o CA waiting upon an estimate never received, charged for services never rendered, and various excuses for the charge. (I would not hire a furnace repair company to check for mold, bugs, leaks).   Thank you for clarifying that the charge was voided. Normal practice when a charge has been deferred ---a statement with the returned check will state no balance due.
