I purchased a vehicle from Greg's Automotive in *********, ******* on 3/27/25. They gave him a temporary paper plate that expired on May 11th. He finally contacted our local secretary of state to find out where his plate is and he was told the info wasn't sent to them for the plate and registration, they only had the title info. After double checking his paperwork, he indeed paid a $245.28 doc fee (see attachment). So he then contacted the dealership and was told that they're not allowed to send in for the registration and plate - even though I paid the fee for this. Now I dont have a plate or registration for this car.I'm requesting the doc fee to be refunded so I can go to the secretary of state myself and get the registration and plate for my car.I'm also asking for the $15 temp plate fee back since it is now expired and I still don't have what I paid for. Lastly, the $10 misc fee....

I have personally been selling cars for 20 + years.  We are very thorough at explaining all fees at the time of signing.  We DO NOT process registrations for customers. Even if we wanted to, I do not know how to do it and if it was even, we would have to charge an appropriate fee and we do not

The fees that Mr. ****** was charged were:
$245.28 doc Fee.  NOT a registration fee.
$15.00 Title Processing fee. We processed the title with the state of ******** and made sure that the lienholder was properly placed (mind you, that service costs us closer to $50.00 but we eat some of that cost)
$10.00 membership fee is collected for the bank.  Thats the Fee the bank collects as a deposit to open the loan account.

The doc fee we charge (all dealers charge) is to offset costs for storing the paperwork (needs to be kept safe and on site for 7 years), processing the titles before we sign them to the consumer, offsetting some of the marketing costs and all legal docs and all legal subscriptions we have to have amongst other overhead costs... I am not sure how I can accommodate Kaleb.  He was not charged for any services that were not provided.  Kaleb!  I am happy to have a further conversation with you if you would just call me and chat instead of filing a BBB letter for something that I did not do.  Feel free to call me!  Thanks!
