There is a serious drug problem going on in building 3 Apt. ** It started when new tenants moved in. 2022 and is still happening now as of 7/22/22. Constant smoking weed that affects my health ( uncontrollable coughing, head aches and burning throat) all due to the smell coming into my unit F. This is an everyday occurance and is really bad after hours and on weekends when leasing agency is closed (8-5pm). The person is also selling drugs which I have witness out of my peephole. And there is there are a lot of people on foot and in vehicle coming into apartment ** I have tried to work with the leasing department and they keep telling me they are working on it. It is still going on. I can't miss work because of not feeling good due to a contact with the over. It states in the lease that zero tolerance on use of illegal drugs or selling thereof. I have called the police, etc. They say that they don't know or will try to come out but it is up to the leasing agency. I don't know where to turn. I have been speaking with *****. I think she's a leasing agent here at ********************* I have also witness people barely making it down the stairs because they are so high. And a child in the home while these activities are going on. I don't want to see anyone get hurt because there are kids in the complex. Can you help. I want to see police security patrol and do rounds in building 3. I want to see hotline numbers posted for illegal activity. Also if need be eviction because this person has a lot of youths working/ selling for him. As does he. I hear a girl over there all the time and there are 3 when I think there should only be 1 person an older guy ( I think he's the ring leader ). He doesn't stay there only the ***************** and the girl. Sometimes the child will be there. I have to buy room plug ins and air mist sprays and candles (they don't work). I take those cost out of my rent because it is no fault of my own and I can't afford to keep buying out of pocket

    Business Response

    Date: 10/04/2022

In Regards to ***************************' complaint, We instructed residents to contact the police when they smell marijuana in their building after hours, She stated she called the police but they told them to contact the property manager, We are only on property during business hours.

***************** called our office complaining of June 22, 2022 complaining of the smell of marijuana in unit H. My regional and I walked over there only to find that the person she insisted is smoking marijuana was not the one smoking, The one that was smoking was in another unit and we evicted them.

***************** contacted the health ***** concerning this one pictulicar apartment, *********** came out and gave us a flyer to pass out to residents and a number to call at the health **** because they have the authority to enter a unit.

***************** was not happy with the ***********'s response, so she then called BBB, ***************** is the only one in that building complaining,

We have done everything we can, instructed residents to contact police when they smell marijuana, *********** gave us a flyer with their number on it to pass to residents so residents can call them out and investigate.

Chateau has contacted the Drug Task Force concerning this matter as well, they are working with us as well.

    Thank you
