On March 4th of this year 2024 I ordered *****'s biscuits and gravy as one of my breakfast items through my doordash. Halfway through eating my biscuits and gravy I bit down into a piece of metal. I was on the phone video chatting and sitting next to a coworker when this happened. I immediately spit it out and my coworker sitting next to me took a picture and then said she was going to wash it. I spent the next couple hours trying to contact the business to let them know what had happened because I did not have transportation to take it into the business myself. An incident report was not made about what happened for over 24 hours even after I reported it to two shifts the day it happened trying to get a number to contact for further assistance. The following day I was about to get another *****'s location in ****** to give corporate's number to report this incident them. I spoke with a friend of mine that works in the restaurant industry and was told to put everything in the freezer for it to possibly be examined later. No one in the restaurant or corporate office asked me for a picture of the metal piece I almost ingested. I contacted corporate multiple times and finally was given an email and out of my own accord I sent pictures via email of the metal object I bit into. I wanted to figure out how this happened to me and where this piece came from so it doesn't happen to anybody else either. If I had swallowed it I could have died attempting to digest it. The metal piece appears to be a bracket of some sort and is around 2 in long but curved. It is still in my freezer today. I believe around the 24th of April 2024 the insurance company for *****'s reached out offering me $350 for what happened. I did not accept the offer. I did ask if they wanted the Frozen metal piece and remainder of my biscuits and gravy to be examined and if they knew where the metal piece came from and it was stated they thought they knew where it came from and it had to do with the biscuit and a freezer. I am needing guidance on what to do next because I've never been in this situation. Thank you for your time.
