I have spent several hours with my insurance company on the phone with the billing department (all recorded). I also contacted an advocate with no help.I was hospitalized for a stabbing on 10/30/22. The only thing the hospital did to resolve the problem was stitch my skin closed to stop bleeding, causing a buildup of blood. I had a ** scan and they said I had a Sudo aneurism and scheduled surgery. The surgeon (minutes before surgery) asked if I wanted to go through with it and explained it wasn't required. He said if it burst, I would then just have to have it done. I found in the medical documents where I had a ****% chance of a problem! They sent me home with little to no explanation. I repeatedly asked for antibiotics but was told no. They acted like they wouldn't help me since I said not to the surgery. Due to the massive amount of blood build up, caused being stitched closed, I had complications and was back in the hospital the following weekend (11/05/22). My leg was swollen about twice the normal size. They did a ** scan and an ultrasound and said they didn't find an aneurism problem and was sending me home. I demanded antibiotics and they finally gave them to me, which helped but it was already so bad that it finally burst, and I had to drain the blood clots myself. All of which, should have been avoidable. The medical bills, show charges for the ** scan and ultrasound twice on the 5th (I only had 1 of each). Their total charges due do does not match what they tell me I owe and their web site shows. The receipt for payment on 11/05, doesn't match the charges they sent to insurance on the **** I am being charged for a second visit that should never have happened and then being over charged for it. None of the billing matches and they are threatening me, even though they have said twice, they would put the bill on hold and investigate it but refused to give the insurance a case number.
