On June 8, 2022, I was told by ***** (the owner) that he had diagnosed the issue with my car as a catalytic converter and the car would be ready for pickup on the 9th. When I went to pick the car up, it was not there and ended up being on his lot. I had to get up with him on ******** to find out where my car was. He proceeded to keep the car, telling us that he had replaced several components including the transfer case, front axel, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, etc. he also said in august that he had replaced the transmission and said the transmission was in but he had to wait for programming.September 30, 2022, we told him enough was enough and we wanted the car back. When we picked up the car it was in far worse condition than it was dropped off in. I called him back to get the truth and he told me the only thing he ever really replaced was the transfer case and that he had put a new axel on but that did not fix the problem so he switched it back to the original. He did give us a refund for lying and not performing the tasks he said he would. He then BEGGED me to give him a second chance and he would fix it for free. He told me on or around October 5th he picked the car up and told me the car would be ready next week. I have received 0 updates and when I call the line gets put on hold and I get hung up on. I was told several times I would receive documentation about the different parts being replaced and have received no paperwork whatsoever. He has also lost my skid plate and keeps claiming he ordered a new one but that has not been seen either.

We began our journey with Sparks in June 2022. We took my daughters VW Beetle there for an oil leak. They kept the vehicle for 6 weeks, changed their story multiple times over the phone and charged us $692. At this point, we were just relieved to have the car back. The following day - the car died while my daughter was driving it due to an unrepaired oil leak.Sparks towed the vehicle and then claimed that the alternator now needed to be replaced and that this was a separate issue that had occurred. Wanting our daughter to have a safe vehicle and be able to drive the car that she pays for, we forked over another $753.84 up front (tip: dont do that) and waited another six weeks for them to return the vehicle. Again, they changed their story multiple times, promised several times that the vehicle would be ready as days turned into weeks. At long last - the vehicle was returned and we thought - finally - our daughter has a safe car to drive! Alas, the oil leak remains. Utterly at a loss at this point, we took it to an honest repair shop for an assessment. The alternator that they charged us $753.84 for was NEVER replaced. I went into their shop with the receipts this morning to give them an opportunity to make this right and refund my money. Unfortunately, they just gave me more bs and offered to fix it free of charge. At this point, how could I possibly trust them to work on the car? So, today, 11/15/22, we have an honest repair shop working on the vehicle and are facing another hefty chunk of change to do so. I am honestly still just shocked that a local business would be so dishonest.

I dropped my car off to be serviced for simple coolant leak Aug 26. Shop manager called with estimate and requested my credit card to order parts. Card was charged $1670 that day. Car was promised middle of next week. First bad promise! Shop manager called said hr ordered water pump *** radiator and they didnt arrive. Call back in one week. So I did. Shop manager said he was waiting on a timing cover. Couldnt start repair without all the parts. Call back in a week. So I did. Shop manager said he couldnt do repair without all parts and hr was waiting on a timing cover and Venos diaphragm kit. Couldnt do the repairs without the parts. Call back in a week. So I did. Shop manager said parts were not available and call back in a week. I called ************************************************ directly inquiring about availability of parts -I would simply pick up and deliver to the shop. *** told me that my car model did not have a timing cover therefore they could not sell me the part. I went back to the repair shop and discovered my car sitting in a fenced lot with literal cobwebs hanging from it. Nobody had done any work on it at all. The engine had not been opened. There was no way for the shop to see that timing components were bad because they hadnt even started the work. I confronted the shop manager about his lies and delays and he yelled at me said I cant tell him how to do his business I said great, give me my keys you havent touched my car and you are lying about the parts needed. Shop manager threw the keys onto the counter said Ill give you complete refund sorry you arent happy heres your keys. I moved the car to a real shop. Estimate pending. The shop manager of Sparks did not put a refund on my credit card even though he pretended to run my card thru his machine and handed me a receipt saying complete refund. Credit card company says none of that happened. I paid Sparks $1670 for work they never did. Refund hasnt happened. Dont just stay away from Sparks ********** RUN!
