  I am the Director of Building and Maintenance for the Old Lake County Court House in *********** *******. ****** and her crew are a very professional group of Cleaning and Maintenance personal. They are courteous, prompt, diligent in all their tasks and are willing to assist in anything we have ever asked. I am grateful for their hard work and friendliness day in and day out. Without them our building would not be the same. Thank you for all that you and your staff do.

  I was employed here for a week and a half, and was berated by my supervisor, *****, the entire time I worked there. I applied on 11/28/2022 and received a call back almost immediately where they conducted a phone interview and I was hired on the spot after minimal questioning. There was no background check done. My first day was a "training" session with *****. Despite trying my best, nothing was good enough for her and the standards were never clearly explained. Even when asking for clarification, I was met with responses like "Weren't you paying attention? Let me show you again" where ***** would take over my job and do it for me with no verbal clarifications. She constantly complained about my attitude. She was very hostile and demeaning. She involved her manager, *******, in the issue, and ******* was very unsympathetic and sided with *****. I asked ******* how I could change my behavior or work but was also given no constructive feedback. I twisted my ankle near the start of my second week, no incident report was taken and I was asked to work on the injury through the rest of my shift. I was eventually terminated for my "attitude" despite not being given the chance to improve. I would not recommend anyone work here or hire this service. This business is willing to hire next to anyone, meaning you have no idea who will be coming into your home.

  Thank you for the feedback and your perspective on the situation. You did apply online and were asked to call so we could perform a general screening confirming that you met the minimum requirements to work at our facility. Upon meeting those we did ask for you to come in for a formal interview where job expectations, and standards were reviewed and discussed. Even though you were eager to start, wanting to get out in the field that day, we did ask that you took the weekend to think about the position and make sure it was a right fit for both of us, asking you to start the following Monday. You did receive formal orientation where a handbook was provided and reviewed, filled out necessary paperwork that did include a release for us to conduct a background check which is done on every employee and then went out for on-the-job training. Our formal training program is set up for in person, hand on training where necessary corrections will be addressed to ensure that our clients are receiving the quality and expectations our business backs and guarantees. My apologizes that this job did not work out for you, I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors.
