The Mansion is a beautiful venue, but I recently made a horrible mistake of signing a contract with this place not realizing that the owner had not made any provisions for a ADA compliant restroom anywhere on this property, in finding this out, I had no choice but to cancel this contract with the owner, as we have several handicap relatives and guests who would be attending. The owner refused to repay any of our 4500$ deposit, even though we were only under the umbrella of the contract for a few months, before we realized the problem and wanted to cancel. My daughters wedding is not until September of 2024, so this is ample time for the owner to rebook his venue. Nothing was disclosed in the contract about a Non-Compliant ADA restroom at booking. Along with this major problem, his wedding planner was horrible to work with and completely unprofessional, she never had any idea who my daughter was and only discussed what my daughter could not do per-say the contract. The wedding planner met with my daughter once, while another wedding was going on, dressed in a tight tee shirt, sweat pants, with socks and a pair of thong sandals. As a wedding planner, her dress should be appropriate, especially during a wedding or meeting customers.
The wedding venue was to be all- inclusive as well. For One lump sum, the venue would basically pay for all the things that went with a wedding. For an 80 people guest list the owner only provided 180$ for a cake with a budget that would have been over $15,000. When speaking to the bakery that would be providing the cake, she stated, that she had brides call and cry at the last min. Not having enough cake for their guests. Also that she had explained to the wedding planner over and over again, that the amount they provided would never be enough, but that they did not care.
In Short, I have put in disputes with my credit card companies over the payments and reported the owner to the ADA, for his non-compliance.
