The business was sent out by *********** ********* and ********* for packing our house contents and documenting them, cleaning/refurbishing items and sending the full list to insurance to be compensated after a freeze issue at my home. The company only surveyed one floor. They through away countless items from my basement without properly documenting them and very poorly cleaned several items that they took offsite to clean as well as damaged multiple pieces of furniture and brought it back to my home as if it left in that condition. The poor job that did is literally costing me 10's of thousands of dollars to repair and replace things.

We were called out by 1800 water damage to assist on moving contents out of the main floor for mitigation purposes. This was 2-2-24, we were then instructed remove the some of the contents of the affected area in the basement on 2-7-2024. We were told to move these contents into a pod. The customer was present at that time according to our crew leaders. She was instructing our crew what to put into the pod and asked if we could get rid of old items that had been in the basement for years. We also, asked if she wanted us inventory these items that we were removing and she stated she hasn't seen them in years and not to worry about it. On 2-29-25 we were then told to empty the pod and bring the basement contents to our warehouse for storage. We delivered those items on 2-21-25.

The items that were delivered back to her house she stated were damaged etc... We have made several attempts to go and look at the items but she has refused to give us access to see what the damages are.

I am rejecting this response because:

The business is lying. I was not present for the moving of the items due to me having to be at work. Our basement was just as impacted as our main floor of our. There is no way possible that they were not to inventory those items in the basement in full as well. Moreover I was out of the country in late February when the business finally contacted me about reviewing items that they did poorly inventory and clean and return to my home damaged and smelling of mildew. I told them when I would be back in the country they advised that they would be in touch to schedule a visit to look at the items that they brought back that were not in good condition since they took them. I had to reach out to them last week to ask why they haven’t contacted since late February and they lied about waiting on me to contact them as if I don’t have the whole conversation in writing from late February. The most deplorable thing is that they wouldn’t dare address all of our belongings that were removed from our basement and thrown out without being inventoried and how to recover the losses from that but had the unmitigated gall to write that I told them to dispose of things in this response. I also didn’t complete the paperwork needed for them to close the case out and be paid by my insurance company, progressive. However Progressive has sent them payment for a job that I didn’t approve. Two terrible company’s. I 0/0 recommend either.

    Sincerely,

In response to us lying, we did not have a key to a door that we needed unlocked to move the items out of the basement. The customer had to come to the house and unlock the door. Also, we have email correspondence on March 6, 25 asking the customer to reach out to us when she returns from her vacation and we would make arrangements to come over and discuss the items in question and look at the items that were claimed to be damaged.

I am rejecting this response because:

I uploaded the pic of the key lockbox that 1800 water advised they and content restoreolgy needed to be able to access the home due to me having to be at work and the house not being livable at the time. Also due to the tight frame that they were on. Items were moved from the basement without incident with the keys provided.

It was not until the last day of them being there that were given side door keys. Which weren’t stopping them from removing items from the basement that threw away without surveying.

    Sincerely,

I have two employees stating that on the day we worked in the basement the customer had to come and let us in with a key.
