    I utilized an online auction, purchasing a vintage washing machine for $8.74! We drove to pick up the washer. The washer was located down in the basement, with old, rickety, steep wooden steps. There were workers in the basement helping customers to remove items by taking them up the stairs. My husband attached the washer to the Dolley making an effort to try and take the washer up the stairs. The stairs were not worthy of such weight. The workers just stood there. My husband could have been severely injured on those old stairs. We told the lady at the desk taking the money, there was no way we could get the washer up the stairs. At this point, one of the workers came up and stated they would get it out in a few days. I was frustrated and commented that we would not be back, as we had already spent half a day on this. The woman at the desk said they would not take the money out of my account (I had pre-registered with my debit card). The next day, I saw the company had indeed taken the money out of my account. I called and spoke with "*****." She said they had gotten the washer up the stairs quickly and easily, right after we left, and would not refund our money. I asked her where the washer was now located, and she told me "Three doors down," whatever that meant. After telling her I was thinking of filing a complaint, she told me she would either refund our money by check or debit. My husband called her back and said we would just come and get the washer. She claimed she did not know where the washer went. Only two days had passed, not the ten. Their contract states they hold onto items for a period of ten days. At this point, nothing has been refunded. She stated on the phone it clearly states in the contract that a person must bring help to load items. Then, she added, "I realize it does not specify basement." However, the workers were helping other people, and apparently had no trouble getting it up the stairs after we left. ***** made sure to tell me that!
