I used them before on a house we built years ago and they were unprofessional they were fighting in our basement. They had no idea my husband was watching them. The work was very sloppy. Ive seen production homes with neater cut outs. I wouldnt use them ever again.

Buyer beware. ***** Burtner's company used to be a first-class organization, but based on our most recent experience, that seems no longer to be true.I've been a loyal Burtner customer--even providing several new customer referrals. Based on my most recent experience, I regret making those referrals. Burtner has been unprofessional, disrespectful, and unresponsive following a recent incident at our home when, among other things, a Burtner electrician used the ***bomb" with me. Thankfully, I had several home security cameras operating at the time. Others might not be so fortunate.

Thank you for the opportunity to allow Burtner Electric, **** to reply to the comments that the homeowner made regarding the work that ******************************* performed at his home. Our story is very different from his. ******************************* arrived to look at the post light again for the homeowner. This was the third time that we looked at this light. That is the kind of customer service that we provide and prompted the homeowner to say in his complaint that we used to be a first- class organization. I believe that we still are and have listed the events of that day below. The post light works properly when tested but the homeowner complained that it was not working at night. There can be other reasons why this might happen. One is that the sensor will not come on if there is too much light in the area and the sensor is not triggered. This can happen if you or a neighbor have a flood light shining on the post light. The light may not come on at the same time as other lights in the neighborhood based on when the sensor kicks it on due to the lack of daylight or other lights in the area of the sensor. ******************************* tested the light as any electrician would. They put a piece of black tape over the sensor to see if it comes on when the unit senses a lack of light. They informed the homeowner that it was working properly and the homeowner became agitated and angry with them. **** advised him that they would leave and that angered the homeowner even more. ******************************* were leaving in order to keep from escalating the situation and for that, we support them in their effort. Our employees are trained not to escalate a situation where a homeowner is unhinged, verbally or physically abusing them. Did one of our employees use the * bomb, yes, he did. He let ** know that he did it out of exasperation. He was in a fight or flight situation and the flight instinct set in. He said * this, Im leaving. Again, we commend them for their efforts to avoid escalating the situation. The homeowner ran after them and kept our employees from getting in the truck. The truck would provide them some sense of safety from someone who is coming after them and the homeowner barred them from reaching a safe environment. Our employees had to get in through the passenger door. The homeowner then attempted to open our drivers side door and **** had to forcibly close and lock it. The door was physically damaged by the homeowner in the process. In his BBB complaint, the homeowner did not offer to pay for the damages he made to our vehicle. The homeowner then ran in front of our truck and blocked our employees from leaving the jobsite. The homeowners actions were enough that our employees called their supervisor to report that they were being held against their will by the homeowner because he was blocking their exit. Our supervisor advised them to wait for approximately 10 minutes for the homeowner to calm down and leave the area. If he did not leave within 10 minutes, they were advised to call 911 to ask for help. Within about 10 minutes, the employees called their supervisor to report that they were finally on the road to their next jobsite. Shortly after this incident, the homeowner called our office to yell at the office staff for the incident. The homeowner did not tell the office staff about his actions that day. They were conveniently left out of the BBB complaint also. A few days after this incident, the homeowner called to let ** know that his post light was in fact working properly. We do appreciate our loyal customers and we love it when our customers refer others to **. We do, however, draw the line on customers who berate and threaten our employees. We will choose the safety and security of our employees over an unhinged homeowner every time and that is why we have advised the homeowner that we would not do the other work that he had scheduled for his generator and we have marked his file to show that Burtner Electric, **** will not do any work at their home. I encourage the homeowner to provide me with a copy of those security videos so that we can all see the entirety of the events that occurred that day. **** Burtner 5/25/23

Friends, neighbors, and security footage agree: "The lady doth protest too much, methinks". Turn out the lights, Burtner.

Burtner Electric has been my go-to company for our electrical needs since2004. Unfortunately, that is no longer true. I recently had them in for two minor changes, which turned into major efforts. Instead of an hour long job costing a couple hundred dollars, their electricianspent 4.5 hours at my home and left me with drywall damage so excessive I am horrified. I spoke with the owner about the issue, and she seemed apologetic and assured me they would come up with a "fair" bill. However, I received a bill for over $700 and the threat of collection if I didn't pay. Burtner indicated that I had agreed to the drywall damage. Who would do that? Wow. Never again will I use Burtner, and you shouldn't either.

It is fitting that in trying to respond to a different dissatisfied customer, ******************** mistakenly placed that response under my complaint. Pretty clear that Burtner is no longer the competent company it once was. Find a different contractor to do your electrical work.
