My state tax refund of ***** was taken from me by notre dame saying I owe them ***** from 2022 of November. I told them that I had a fraud issue with my roommate having my banking information when that happened and account was paid off from credit bureau through notre dame. I am now out of my state tax refund because of this. It is wrong for me to pay back something I had nothing to do with nor did I receive any money ever. I would like my refund from notre dame federal credit union. I was also told that the balance would be on the account for 30 days as I went into the bank today June 4, 2024 to receive my money and was notified of all of this and they took the money today and moved it to a negative account, so I was lied to.

      Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:

Them are not my signatures on check therefore me being charged for something I was unaware of is unfair. I understand that if something is owed it will be took from any incoming deposits. I did not state that it was a male roommate, it for sure was a female friend. Then what happened to the proof of me talking to someone after this happening to me around the time saying that it was fraud? Back in 2020? I was told it was cleared off and havent use the account since because of this happening to me. I dont see how youre even accepting payments when it was sent off to creditor and I have not physically signed and paid it off myself. There is no way I can just afford to have my refund check took from me and my 1 year old daughter from something I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING to do with all these years later after I just had to appeal my refund check in the first place. I got money took that was owed to me and now this with you guys as long as I was waiting for my refund. Ive been to the bank before and spoke with someone in person as well nothing was done for me because you guys are not trying to take or give any other options. I dont understand or agree.
