i called felger hart when my heat wouldnt kick on at my mobile home. Explain that I need the thermocoupler changed and asked how they charged the lady on the phone told me that they charge for the service call and parts. so they sent out somebody who didnt have the part and had to "go back to the shop to see if they had one" came back 20min later then spent 30ish min changing out the the thermocoupler and reattaching a wire that was "lose". afterwards he turned the system on heat came on, as he went to leave I noticed that the pilot light had gone out, and ran out to the truck to let him know and have him come take a look at it. He cameback in the proceeded to tell me that he " didnt know alot about older systems because he only really installed new unit and that he would have to get ahold of someone to help out" then spent the next hour and half going between his van and the furnace in my hallway not being able to get the furnace lit again. he tells me that they're worried about going into overtime and they'll have to send somebody out in the morning, which I said was fine. After they left on ****** why a new thermostat wouldn't work and found out that sometimes when you put new one in you have to hold the flame on it a little longer to burn off some sort of coating so Iit my furnace held the button down for an extra minute, it stayed lit and it's been lit since. In the morning I called to let them know that I've gotten it lit and they said they would send somebody out to make sure everything was okay. guy came in said everything was good then left. now theyre trying to charge me $328.86 for for the initial service call, parts, fixing wire and 2 hours labor after their installer failed to get my Heat going. When I called them to ask about the bill they put me on with a really snotty person who told me that they already took 2 hours off and didn't charge me for the second service. I'll pay service call/parts but I don't think it's fair to charge for the rest

We have already spoken to *** and come to understanding.

*** called in to ask one of our CSR's about the bill on 11/25/2024. After discussing what the charges were for with the ***, *** stated his concerns. The *** then said that they would have to talk to their manager when he was back in the office the following day.

There were a few issues our technicians had ran into while at Ray's home which in turn caused a usually simple job to take longer than usual.

Our General manager came in the next day on 11/26/2024 and we both discussed the bill and decided to make an adjustment to it (Attached Invoice 2583). Our General manager then called *** and explained the situation. *** was happy and changed his previously 1 star ****** review to a 5 star.

We want to thank *** for his business and working with us on this matter; and wish him a merry Christmas from the Felger Hart family.

I employed Felger Hart **** on November 4, 2024, because my kitchen sink needed snaked. They changed their company name from ************************* to Felger Hart **** I have called ******* Mechanical in the past when I had experienced plumbing issues and they did a great job. Which is why I called them again. When ******* Mechanical snaked a drain for me previously, it cost me $90.00. So when I called for them to snake my drain this time, I asked about the fee and if it would cost around $90.00. I was informed that it would be around $90.00 if there were not any issues. When the plumbers came to my house to snake the drain, they were in and out in under 15 minutes. I asked them before they left if they incurred any issues. I was informed that they felt three small clogs. He said that they pushed them down the pipe until it cleared and that it was an easy fix. He instructed that I use the sink plenty to get water flowing through the pipes and supplement with ******** yeast to help eat away at particles that make their way down the drain. They fixed my clog and I was happy with the work they did. However, when I received the invoice in my e-mail I was alarmed. It was not $90.00. It was more than twice that. I called Felger Hart *** to follow up. I asked the woman if the crew had any issues and she pulled up my file and said they did not. I then voiced my concern and how I was informed it would be around $90.00 if there were not any issues. She informed me that I was informed incorrectly and that $90.00 was the fee for them to inspect the pipes and diagnose, which I was not told when I first called. I told her this. She apologized and that was it. I now owe them $210.00. Had I known it was going to be more than double what I was quoted, I would have bought my own snake so I could fix my drain now and in the future. ************************* was an honest company. Apparently not now.

Hi *******, we at F***** Hart Residential strive to provide a great customer experience every time, so Im sorry to hear about your experience.
******* Mechanical was purchased by the owners of F***** Hart *** four years ago. ************************* then continued to operate until January 1 of 2024. F***** Hart *** has been family owned and operated since its inception in 1983.
Because we want to provide a great customer experience every time, all our inbound and outbound calls are recorded. I went back and listened to your first call with one of our CSRs on 11/4/2024. (see attached mp3 document, time stamp 2:40) You asked our CSR if our prices have changed and what our rate was. She then stated that we have a minimum $90 trip and diagnostic fee, and the rest of our pricing is task based. Our CSRs do not provide quotes over the phone.
We charge a minimum of $90 dollars for our technician to make the trip and provide a diagnosis. Then when the technician finds a solution for the problem and has the homeowners approval the technician will then perform the task needed to solve the issue. Our parts and labor are included in these tasks. This type of billing is the residential industry standard.
Your last invoice from ******* Mechanical for snaking your kitchen drain was $140.00 (see attached document Invoice W17312). We had not changed our pricing in over 4 years and only recently upped it to keep up with inflation.
A ****** search of average cost to snake a drain states that average price to snake a drain is $250.00.
If you would like to discuss this further, please call our office at ************
