    Coming home from ******* stopped at a rest area and purchases $3 energy drink but was charged $10. I have left several messages requesting a $7 refund from ** but he wont return my call. I used a debit card.

    I have spoken to this customer several times and tried to explain to him that it is not coming from my end. There are signs on the machines explaining why this is happening. His bank is the one doing this but they will return the overage within a few days. I told him since his bank is doing this to him then the solution to the problem is to pay cash.  

    The sign on the machines state

    Attention debit cards ********************* will place a HOLD on your account greater than the amount to purchase one or multiple items in a single vend transaction. This HOLD amount will be updated to reflect the actual transaction amount with 24 - 72 hours depending on the policy of your bank. Your final charge amount will be only for items vended. Any question regarding your bank's policy on "account holds" should be directed to your bank"

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

    The business NEVER responded to me. Had he done so I never would have filed a complaint. Had he called me back to explain I wouldnt have submitted this. I only rejected to be able to state my case. Now after hearing this for the first time I have to accept the response. Who carries cash anymore?
