I am writing to you to express my deep dissatisfaction with the conduct of ************************* at AMERICAN PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING. I placed an order for a custom torque converter and paid the amount of ******* ******** funds (**** USD I think) in full. However, due to another warranty issue, I requested *****'s assistance, which he refused to provide. As a result, I decided to cancel the order and requested a refund. However, ************************* refused to refund my payment and has since become completely unresponsive. He has not returned my phone calls, texts or emails, leaving me with no option but to pursue a dispute with Visa.I feel extremely frustrated and let down by the way I have been treated by ************************* and AMERICAN PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING. I trusted this local business and placed my order in good faith, only to be let down by the lack of professionalism and integrity displayed by **************************I am writing to you today in the hope that you can help me expose this local business in our area and potentially assist me in obtaining a refund for my order. I believe that ***************************** actions are unethical and unacceptable and that the public deserves to know about them.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.Sincerely,

The Customers statement of the problem is false, misleading and inaccurate.

The customer forgot to mention that he tried to do transmission repairs on his own (as opposed to having someone qualified and skilled in that trade) to do the repairs and he made mistakes. He then called and asked for advise and help to solve his problems.   I provided general guidance multiple times BUT after repeated disrespectful condescending statements and details changing as the story went on from the customer, I stopped answering his phone calls and text messages.

Regarding the item the customer claims he ordered and cancelledthe customer threatened to cancel the special order IF I didnt help him fix the self inflicted problems he was having with a totally different product.

Even though there are basic warranty and return policies that were not followed by the customer, ********************** decided to refund the customer.

That refund was issued March 10th (prior to the date of complaint) and the customer was made aware of the refund.    Therefore, we strongly feel this complaint is a malicious attack on this business and individual.

Please note the attached pics of the refund transaction confirmation.

    Graciously,

    *************************

I am rejecting this response because:
the vendor did do a partial refund yes, i got back (march 21) ******* Cad which on his end was ******* Usd, my original order was ******* Cad which was ******* Usd. So the vendor will need refund me ****** Cad.

Far as an attack that's what happens when you refuse to admit you made a mistake and would not fix the issue, further more the torque converter was fixed here in ******* and they found your issue.

The vendor did not say he refund me nor would he take my calls, texts or emails, the fact the trans has issues had no bearing on fitment as it was tested on a stock trans and still didn't fit!!  *****'s complete lack of wiliness to even try to resolve this was pathetic and to think he has been in business this long is unreal.

This all started when he fixed a torque converter for me and clearly did it wrong, that mistake was ****** Cad to fix his issue. i can provide a copy a write up from the repair shop as well if needed. When he would not help there is no reason to buy anything else and only makes sense to refund my order.

in the end the vendor owes me ******+****** Cad = ******, if paid in full and a receipt is sent over via email i will drop it all, remove the info from my site and not push this any further.

I have been in business for 20+ years and never would i treat a customer like this, not only is horrible service and attitude your ethics are terrible. The twisted wording on his reply is brutally false and ****** has core value issues.

ball is in your court ***** let's see if you have any morals left here.

Customer is blending his self inflicted problems, other products and a different item I repaired WITH a NEW part order in his complaint.  I advised him to return the item he damaged and installed incorrectly (per his admission) and I would check things.   He refused to do so.

He admitted to me that he attempted transmission repairs that he was not qualified to do and things did NOT work.   I advised him that he likely damaged several things by his actions...

He had a NEW torque converter  ordered from me for another project and I refunded the $ minus the bank fees.   Typically, special order items are non refundable OR there is a minimum 25% restocking g fee.   This customer is simply trying to make someone else accountable for his mistakes, inability to troubleshoot and not follow basic protocol on return of goods for evaluation.

Customer was refunded $ for item ordered.   His added complaints are NOT pertinent to that order and refund.   He is simply

trying to confuse matters on a separate item where HE attempted repairs on the transmission, modified and changed other key

parts and caused issues with an item I previously repaired for him about a year ago.   The problems he encountered are with

home made parts and used transmission parts that the claimant modified and attempted repairs on himself.

Several times I offered and provided free technical advice and help **** this person.  After being insulted and harassed multiple times, I simply stopped responding.

At any time, if a customer thinks that they have a problem with one of our products, they can simply return it for evaluation.   If the customer isnt capable or competent enough to do that, I dont know how else to help them.

    Have a nice day!

I am rejecting this response because:

still not good enough, it's clear this vendor is use to not taking care of warranty items given he has no google  profile or website like most real business these days.

the vendor did not do a proper repair job which cost more money, nothing here has anything to do with the trans repair work done, yet the vendor keeps going back to thing not relevant here. this is why i would not take another item from him, just another ****** with poor quality parts.

the vendor would not answer the phone to discuss, my last text was "let's talk tomorrow and come up with a plan that works for both of us" to which he did not reply but rather acted like a child. it's clear this person/vendor has some personal core value issues going on, more so lack of values.

the vendor never once has discussed, warranty, refund policy or anything and again no website or anything to even show if he is a real legit business or a guy working in a non commercial zone.

in the end the fees and repair due to lack of workmanship is still out standing and can be sent by pal pay or we can keep doing this song and dance.

******************* is a typical type of bushiness that has a big talk but zero back bone and zero ethics, if e cannot send the money back in full CAD funds there no point to reply here nor will i close this case but leave it open for others to see. here is another one that got taken by **********;****************************************************************

and on top i have referred many people to ***** and this is the thanks i get. good luck
