Big O Tires in Princeton Indiana is violating State, Federal Laws regarding consumer laws and their personal identification number on their debit card. It is a violation of law for a MERCHANT CAN NEVER ASK A CUSTOMER TO SHAIR OR GIVE THEIR PRIVATE INDENTIFICATION NUMBER. When I informed *****, the supervisor, that is a violation of law and I'm not giving my PIN to him, he replied he is a Christian Man and would not do anything with it. I told him if he was a Christian Man he would not be violating State and Federal Laws regarding payment with a debit card. He then became angry and then said, well then, I'm just cancelling it out. I said another violation of threat and intimidation if I don't give you my PIN Number. He then told me he does this everyday with every transaction that isn't cash and I told him his policies and procedure do not supersede the law. He then did the transaction through credit and would not require the PIN. I said you do not have your payment system following the law where someone can enter their private information. He also takes the card out of your hand, and then he held onto the receipt while he told me about he being an honest man while breaking the law in front of me. I told him, I paid for my oil change, you are required to give me a receipt in Consumer Law. As he was standing there holding my receipt, he folded it up and started shaking that he was very angry that I was standing up for my rights and telling him what the laws are regarding his procedures of payment. I then asked him if he is a franchisee and if his franchisor is aware of his illegal policies and procedures and I will be contacting them, and asked him again to hand over my receipt for the oil change I paid for. Please stop this company from violating more people as a common daily procedure and feel they have the authority to beat down a female customer and bully me further once he is informed he is in the wrong. His excuse of being Christian defies logic to the laws.

***** said he did not know it was wrong to ask for a pin number and was asking because the customer could not reach the terminal. The matter has been discussed with ***** that he should not ask for a customer's pin and he said that he was sorry and it would not happen again. this matter has been discussed with all sales people about not asking a customer for heir pin no matter what the situation is.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: It is a violation of the law and they saying they do not know the law regarding people's financial and private banking information and claiming he is a Christian man that violates the law on a daily basis was a mistake is unacceptable. I will be pursuing this matter with the Attorney General of Indiana and Attorney General of Illinois regarding this company's procedures and then rejecting my purchase because I refused to give him my pin number which he was in violation of the law and also used as intimidation and bullying to acquire the pin number. By Federal Law A MERCHANT CAN NEVER ASK A CUSTOMER TO SHARE THEIR PRIVATE PIN NUMBER, and this ignorant belligerent supervisor not only raised his voice, but told me in no uncertain terms he would cancel my oil change, and then took my card from my hand and ran the card himself. He is Volatile and hostile to the customer who was following the law while he was BREAKING THE LAW AS COMMON DAILY PROCEDURE and argued with me that he was allowed to do that. BUT HE IS WRONG, HE IS BREAKING THE LAW, HE SHOULD NOT BE IN A POSITION OF RESPONSIBILITY WHEN HE VIOLATED THE LAW SO BLANTANTLY AND REFUSED TO ADMIT HE WAS BREAKING THE LAW, JUST KEPT LYING HE WASN'T. This is a financial crime and a violation of the Financial Institute of Regulatory Authority and just saying I didn't know is not a resolution. There are fines, fees, and penalties for his repeated violations and I will pursue that avenue through the Attorney General because they have done this for years from the video and have violated hundreds of customers.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *****

On Monday I ordered an oil change and new tires, the michelin cross climate, at big o tire in princeton, in. It was scheduled for Wednesday the 23rd at 7:30 am, in order to get the tires in. After leaving the business I realized they had put on the wrong tires, the Michelin defender 2, so I went back a couple hours later and was told the tires I had ordered were not available anywhere in the United States, perhaps one in California etc. Was asked what I wanted to do and I told them I would let them know. I then went to Walmart and found I could order them and get the tires I wanted in three days. I was also informed by a friend who has an identical car as mine she had the tire I had ordered, the Michelin Cross Climate, put on her car the same day at Costco.
I then returned to big o tire after leaving walmart and asked to have my old tires put back on which they informed me had already been shredded!
I told them I was ordering the tire I was supposed to get and would return theirs in three days. At this time he looked on his computer and said there must have been a truck come in and he could have them for me in two days on Friday November 25th, so I agreed to it.
On Friday November the 25th I was informed I had a damaged rim and was taken into the work area to witness the the tire with the bad rim being balanced. I asked why that didn't show up Wednesday when they put the first set of new tires on and was told they didn't balance them, although I was charged $88.00 for balancing.
I am a seventy six year old woman and feel this contributed to all that has went on. I was lied to repeatedly and am sure my rim was damaged in this business, I have all my receipts. I paid $985.12, but these people owe me a new rim. No apology needed, I'll never go back.

I took my car to Big O tires, Princeton,In 47670 on Friday August 19th. My appointment was at 8am, so I dropped my car off at 7:55am. I told ***** the manager that I would be back around 3:15pm to get my car when I got off work. My coworker took me to my car, when I got there I went in and paid. When I came back out, I realized that someone had hit my bumper. There was a big hole in my back bumper. I walked in and got ***** and showed him. I asked him if he had cameras and if he could look and see what happened. He walked back in and I followed. Then the manager ***** told me that he would not look at the cameras because they weren't liable for it. I left and called the cops. The cops told me it appeared like a trailer hit my back end and that it looks like someone tried to cover it with something black. I have reached out to corporate and they sent me back to ***** who told me they aren't going to do anything to fix it.

this vehicle was not damage on this property we had a co-worker of this customer that has told one of our employees that they work and park beside her and that she has had this damage to her vehicle for some time and told him that she was going to try to blame us to get it paid for. Also i watched this vehicle get pulled in and out of the shop because the customer said she had hit or ran over something and was worried about the ground effects hitting when we pulled vehicle in and out. The vehicle did not rub or nor did the tech hit anything pulling the vehicle in or out. also the cop told us which they have recorded on their chest cams that the damage looked old and that it looked like someone tried to touch it up. So with this info and knowing it was not done by us or on our property we have declined to take responsibility.
