I keep receiving bills from this company. I called my insurance to see why they were not covering it. My insurance told me the bill was actually already covered and asked for the companys information so that can reach out on my behalf. I have also called the number provided on these bills and left voicemails. I have never received a call back.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this consumer's billing concern to our attention. We received this account from our client in July 2023 and we have been attempting to contact the consumer since then. The consumer left a voice mail and stated that there was insurance information that needed to be updated. To date, the consumer has not updated their insurance information with us. The original insurance the consumer provided has been billed for these charges and has denied the claims stating there is another primary payer. If the consumer would like to update the insurance information, we can review to see if the claims can still be billed to their insurance.Initial Complaint

Thank you for contacting Finance System, **** with this consumer's complaint. 3 Rivers ******************** is demanding payment for this defaulted loan for the original creditor, ************** for which money is still due. ************* was purchased by 3 ******************* in 2019 which includes the lien ownership of their defaulted loans. Attached is the original loan obligation signed by the consumer along with the explanation for the calculated delinquent amount owed at time of default before additional collection fees were added by the creditor allowable by the signed contract originating the debt. ********** is not obligated to have a contract with the consumer in order to enforce the collection of this defaulted loan contract with the original creditor. I have received letters in the mail informing me of an alleged $200.00 from ***************************. Here is the thing, however, after numerous attempts by mail to request validation, I have not received anything. I know that this is FALSE due to the fact I have NEVER lived outside of ****. *************************** is in Richmond, *******--hence why I'm getting things from the Finance System of Richmond, but I have NEVER lived outside of my state. Between January 20th, 2023 and January 23rd, 2023 Finance System In of Richmond reported a medical collection on my credit report . I contacted them immediately to see what was was going on because I received no letter, bills, ******* LETTER, nothing. The first person I spoke with (*********) was very nasty and rude. she lied to me and said that finance system *** does not have a fax number . She did not want to disclose any information about the collection at all. Still very confused on how and why they would report this inaccurate information on my credit report. I called back a few days later and spoke with someone by the name of ***** . She was very helpful and polite . She advised me who the bill came from directly and come to find out , the receptionist at the hospital I was seen at put down the wrong primary insurance. I was seen in the hospital last in January dealing with COVID while I was pregnant . She then gave me the fax number so I could try to rectify the situation. This has been a horrible nightmare and puts me in jeopardy. I even called back to offer a pay to delete and ******** told me that she could not do that . This company is not working in good faith at all. I would like this in accurate information removed . My privacy has been seriously violated. *** had to fill out a form for the claim manually and is in process of being taken care of . In the meantime I need this removed .Business Response

Thank you for alerting **********, Finance System of Richmond, Inc., dba *************, to this consumers dispute with **********. The consumer has an unpaid balance of $257.00 for services provided by our creditor client, Radiology & Imaging Specialists, on 01/13/2022 at Heartland ************************ The accounts were placed in our office on 6/1/2022 and a validation notice was mailed on that date. To date we have not received a mail return. After calling our office and updating her insurance information, these accounts have been sent to her primary insurance for adjudication. Upon completing our meaningful investigation, we have had multiple contacts with this consumer via telephone, explaining our credit reporting policy. The consumer was advised that:
In accordance with the National Consumer Assistance Program created by the 3 Credit Reporting Bureaus, we now request that any and all accounts that arrive at a zero balance be cancelled and removed from credit reporting. This includes accounts that are paid, adjusted or closed for any reason. As I stated I did not received a ******* letter . I would love to see a copy of whatever you allegedly sent to me . I do not have a contract with finance system of Richmond . How did you even get my information? My privacy was clearly violated here. I should not be punished for someone elses mistake . If Finance System *** of Richmond would have sent a ******* letter like they are supposed to do by law , I couldve rectified the Situation then . Not only that when I called to figure out what was going on and why you ***orrectly placed something on my consumer report your Account Manager ******** was very disgusting . Had I not called over and over I would have never found out that my insurance is ***orrect . The fact that my insurance is still going to cover it and I offered to satisfy it and you still wont accept that to remove it just proves this company does not do business In Good Faith. The **** stated that any under medical bills under $500 will not be reported anyway . Who gave Finance system of Richmond permission to furnish anything on my consumer report ? Because I did not .

Thank you for responding to our complaint response. I will do my best to address all of your statements You were mailed a ******* letter from us on 06/02/2022 the day after we received the account in our office. A copy of the letter is attached for your reference. Our first letter and the two statements from Radiology & Imaging Specialists, copies also attached, were sent to the same address on *************. This is also the address that you confirmed was your address in the initial telephone call. We have a contract with Radiology &Imaging Specialists, there is no contract required between the consumer and a collection agency for a 3rd party agency to operate. Your information was provided to us by our client Radiology & Imaging Specialists, they receive the data directly from the hospital where services were provided. The legal requirement to send a ******* notice is not accurate. We are required to send a validation notice within 5 days of the initial contact. We sent your validation notice on 6/2/2022, and no return mail was received, and again it was sent to the address you confirmed on the 1/23/2023 phone call. Nothing has been incorrectly placed on your credit report. I listened to the recorded phone call and our representative was not rude, disgusting, or mean, she just did not capitulate to what you think is the correct course of action. We do not entertain pay for deletions,and our credit reporting policy was explained to you. Your accounts have been rebilled to your insurance and we are just awaiting the results. We do not need permission to report debt to a consumer credit file. Medical bills under $500 not being reported does not go into effect until 3/31/2023.Customer Answer

Attached is a copy of my explanation of benefits from my insurance company which shows that the services that I received dated 1/13/2022 were FULLY PAID. This will need to be remove asap or I will be forced to seek legal counsel as this whole situation has caused a great amount of distress on me and my family. I have been been spending time away from them trying to rectify this situation . As far as you listening to the call Im really confused on who you are because I was told by kaitelyn that she was the account manager and that there was no one else I could speak with , which is what led me to file my initial complaint.

I noticed Finance System of richmond on my credit report AFTER already telling them over the phone ANY and ALL bills they have for me were covered ***************** *********. They need to get into contact with them and confirm this and remove this from my credit report and the others they have on my report.Business Response

Thank you for contacting Finance System of Richmond, Inc. d/b/a ************* with this complaint. We have been attempting to contact the consumer since March 1st, 2022, in regard to an unpaid balance to our client, Richmond Radiologists., for charges billed for services provided to the consumer during their visit to **** Health ranging from 10/4/2021-12/17/2021. The consumer stated they received financial assistance from **** health however, these charges are billed separately from any hospital bills the consumer may have received. Attached is a copy of the consent for treatment the consumer signed acknowledging the separate billing. We will assume that this communication is classified as a dispute of credit information reported by our company. Please be advised we have reviewed your dispute and find the dispute lacking in any specific facts or information which would allow us to conduct an investigation. Because your dispute alleges no specific information to form the basis for an investigation, we are unable to investigate the dispute pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2(a)(8)(F)(i) of the ***** Federal **************** regulation 16 C.F.R. 660.4(d) states a direct dispute notice must include:(1) sufficient information to identify the account or other relationship that is in dispute, such as an account number and the name, address, and telephone number of the consumer, if applicable; (2) the specific information that the consumer is disputing and an explanation of the basis for the dispute; and (3)all supporting documentation or other information reasonably required by the furnisher to substantiate the basis of the dispute. Richmond Radiolosists is a seperate business entity from **** Helath. Richmond Radiologists has there own Financial Assistance program and application that you would need to complete. They do generally match what the hospital offers however, it is a seperate application process. Your award letter from the hospital may be sufficient but you can reach Richmond Radiologists at ************ for the Financial Assistance application.Customer Answer

That should have been stated by the lady I spoke with over the phone. She told me personally all that was needed was the award letter from ****. Which I know is accepted because it even shows under price transparency on there page. And as you even stated "maybe" accepted. So it seems your office is unsure. Your office needs to contact **** financial assistance and you will see my medical is covered 100% for these services as I have stated several times.

My credit score went down, after reviewing my report. I notice this company has me delinquent for $5. I do not know who this company is nor have I ever received and invoice for this balance. This $5 drop my credit score by 30 points. There has to be some type of law against companies that do these things. I read that this has happened to a lot of people. We have had one communication with this consumer and have not received any direct mail disputes. The original creditor placed a collection account with our office in the amount of $56.97. The consumer made two payments on the account via checking account. The first payment was check#**** for $25.00 on 05/03/2018 and the second check #**** for ***** on 05/17/2018 leaving a balance of $5.00 Please be advised we have reviewed the consumers dispute and find the dispute lacking in any specific facts or information which would allow us to conduct an investigation.
