Purchased a 16 x 12 building and confirmed with the sales *** the item would fit for delivery to my residence. Upon delivery they determined it was too big and said I needed to change the order to a 16 x 10 which I agreed to. I paid a lower price to reflect the 2 ft reduction in width. At delivery the actual building was also 1.5 ft lower in height. The reduction in height was not communicated to me upfront.Business Response

I am terribly sorry for any disappointment in our product and wish it had been refused at time of delivery. If delivery had been refused a full refund would have been issued. However after onsite inspection at time of delivery the customer not only signed for acceptance of the unit but further acknowledged satisfaction by paying for the building in full. This was delivered on Dec 11, 2024.
Nevertheless we are willing to allow return of the unit if it is in new unused condition less the expense to pickup and haul it back to our sales lot.

Hallmark made two main points:

The order was not refused. I was out of state at the time of delivery, so I had a business associate inspect the item for any damage upon arrival. He reported no visible damage and accepted the delivery. However, I didnt think to ask him to measure the shed to ensure it matched the agreed-upon dimensions.
The order was paid in full. I was informed the day before delivery about a 4% fee for paying by credit card over the phone. To avoid this charge, I provided my banking information for a direct payment.
For an acceptable resolution, I propose that you compare the agreed-upon dimensions of the shed (LxWxH) to those of the delivered shed. Based on my measurements, the delivered shed is approximately 8% smaller. At 8% of the purchase price, this amounts to $400. The greenhouse was damaged upon delivery. It was not Repaired properly. *************** is the only contact we have and has not been helpful in returning the building. Infact has "lol'ed" my wife and myself during text conversations because that is the only way he will communicate.Business Response

See attached paperwork for confirmed repair satisfaction. Due to customer availability the pickup was delayed until today 11/13/23 and is still within industry standards of time from order and fulfillment. I bought a metal 8x10 building two months ago. Paid in full came with a 40 year warranty on the siding. This past Sunday we noticed the siding was pulling away from the unit and revealing screws that were not through the siding. Contacted Hallmark builders via text message after a request from them asking how the building was. Sent them pictures and tried to call and left message with their repair guy after having been given the number via text. I am not aware of how the warranty works and relayed this several times via text. I am upset because no one has called me back to answer my questions. No one takes my calls about it, yet they say to expedite the process ( which I have no idea what that means) and I am uncomfortable with these text messages bc my questions are not being answered. No one acknowledged my concern with the building until I told them I was going to contact bbb. I would like some answers to my questions and how this process is supposed to work. I should not have to pay to have this repaired. They offered with no explanation and expect me to just be okay with whatever they want to do? We received nothing on the warranty and not even a receipt when the building was paid for on delivery. I was told to contact the office, which I did with no response. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewedReturn call to **** the repairman voiced my concerns with not being provided info on the warranty and an office personnel should be contacting me to give me this information. He agreed and wanted pictures. The pics were sent to him. Then a text stating it isnt covered.

After review of the photographs and conversation with **** there doesnt seem to be a warranty claim to approve. The photographs are taken inside of the * Channel showing the cut edge of the wall metal. The purpose of the * channel is to cover the edge of the cut wall metal which it is doing. The expectation that it not be visible is unreasonable and not within construction practices. I apologize that is not what your expectation was but it is how all metal buildings are constructed not just ours. Also the s**** visible is also passing thru the * channel and will be visible when you look under it. Your expectations are not inline with common construction practices and therefore unreasonable.Initial Complaint

I am renting to own a chicken coop from Hallmark. The building was delivered on January 26 right after a heavy snow storm which snow was still on the ground for. Once the snow melted and weather was better, we were able to look closer and realized the building was very unlevel. I reached out to ******* to let him know the issue. A few weeks had gone by and we heard nothing back. We went into the office about a week and an half later and ******* said he would contact the driver to see if they could come back out. Again, no one contacted us. I emailed him photos again to show of the issue. I called several days later to make sure he had gotten my message, which he had. He again said he would reach out to the driver. I have since left a message with ******* who oversees customer service and havent heard back from her either. We have already paid a deposit amount, purchased extra windows and paid one regular monthly payment with another due in about a week. So far our total paid is $661.77. I would like the building to be properly installed. If it cannot be, I would like a full refund of everything we have put into it so far.Business Response

Our records show a signed delivery receipt confirming the building was set and leveled to the customers satisfaction. We are not liable in any way to settling after delivery for any reason beyond our control. With that said it is also shown on our records that the customer has been in contact with our repair department and has been notified that we would come out and level again at no charge. These people have been Crooks they never finish repairing the Shed after they scheduled 5 times and cancelled and never showed now im giving it back cause its JunkBusiness Response

After review of our records and submitted photos from the customer it appears the complaint was for cosmetic issues. Our driver, according to record, stated the customer received and signed for the building stating they were satisfied with the building for its use as he received it on a rental basis. His return can more accurately be described as emptying out a rental storage unit with the exception that it was located at his property. In the other hand as the owner I am not satisfied that he is stating he had a repair scheduled multiple times, even for cosmetic issues, only to be rescheduled or stood up. I have not been able to find any record of that on our side since it dates back quite a while and our record keeping at that time did not list those specific appointments. I believe the building has already been returned so there is little I can do to remedy. It was rented, served its purpose as storage for over a year, and has been returned in good order. If the customer wished to purchase I could escalate and ensure quality issues were satisfied. This is not however what has happened.
It is again in my opinion that communication was not adequate on our end and for that I am sorry but the primary need was provided by our product. It has been returned and now there isnt anything that can be done. The desire of the complaint is not to correct an issue at this point but to convey a grievance for past failure leaving no opportunity or need for further action.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.It wasn't cosmetic issues the Roof leaked do to S**** Holes which I repaired they were suppose to come out in the Spring never showed up I called 4 times and 2 out of the 4 I was told they would reach out when they Could get someone here and Guess what they never did its poor work and lazy building I have told 3 people to stay away and go elsewhere "Cosmetic" or not you never showed up or contacted
And Lastly they touched up paint that wasnt the same color after they dropped it off the Trailer I have a video of
