The problem is still exiting! My husband has been buried in the veteran section at ***************** since early May 2024. Numerous visits to the office inquiring as to when the marker will be placed. First they gave an asnswer that they were waiting on the VA to send the marker. Well, we found out that they had the marker. Ok, as of October still not placed. Now they said they are waiting on the granite in which the marker is put on.. Called today, was told it would take 8-12 weeks for the granite. I asked when it was ordered and the office lady said October. I asked why so late she said it must have been missed, by mistake. Well, from reading other complaints about Highland Cemetery they are very irresponsible! My husband and I prepaid for our burial in 2017 and the granite was part of the cost. I can agree that the order for the granite would probably be place when burial occurs but it has been six months. Several of the funeral homes in the area all said Highland is notorious for this irresponsibility. Back in 2017 when we purchased the burial arrangements, I paid for my marker because the *********************** would be providing my husbands. My marker was created and timely placed awaiting my death date.. My thought is that office personnel has changed and they are not keeping good records or are just irresponsible!. My husband served his country and deserves better!

I dont live in the ********** area but have grandparents that were buried in one of the mausoleums. A year ago, I paid $2500 to have name plates placed on their burial sites. I was told that they would be placed in September of 2024 and never heard another word from their office. I went back to ** a month ago to visit the site but found no name plates. I reached out to the office and was told I would receive a response within 72 business hours. Over a month later I have not received a call or response to my email. I am currently filing with the ** of **********.

My siblings and I purchased a vase for our mother's gravesite in 2022. As most vases in cemeteries are placed either above or below the gravesite, in our particular case, our mother's vase was placed on the side of her gravesite (quite a distance away). Actually, the vase looks to be where another plot will/would go. Being that I live out of state, I don't often get a chance to visit my mother's gravesite until I come home for a visit. In July of 2023 while visiting my mother's gravesite, I noticed that the vase was not placed either above or below the gravesite. During that visit, I brought this to the attention of the cemetery administrative staff and was told that they would give my message to the ground's keeper. Unfortunately, I did not get any response regarding my concern. On September 29, 2023, I called and spoke with the Director of ****** Services and was told that he was getting a work order to have the vase moved over or below the gravesite marker. In November of 2023, I called again, and was told that she (admin) would speak with the Director of ****** Services and I never received a return call. Later that month, I was told that they were focused on burials, and under new management, but they would prioritize to get the vase moved to it's proper location before the ground froze. On June 11, 2024, I spoke with a staff member and was told that she would get a work order in and would have the Director give me a call. As before, I have not received a phone call.I realize that this may not be a big deal or of any importance to them, but it is to me. It's a huge deal for me. It's my mother's gravesite and I want it done correctly. The lack of disrespect for my mother's grave is appalling and very upsetting. All we expect is that the vase be moved to its proper place either below or above the gravesite marker.

This is a on going problem every year I plant flowers at my parents ****** - my Grand mother grave and my Aunty grave . Every year Highland lawn service mow them down they never get a chance to flower . 9.6.2023-Well I went to the office to check on my husband grave stone that I ordered 3 months ago to find out why I haven't hear about the stone. Well the reason I heard nothing about the stone because highland employee she didn't do her job. The order paperwork was never completed by this moron she left it in the filing cabinet along with other incomplete orders . This what I was told by a current employee who was working on about a 100 other orders trying to clean up this mess. I have a appointment on 9.08.2023 to have paperwork to be completed to order my husband grave stone. The stone was suppose to be set on my husband death October the 3 . 2023 prescribed by our family believe and ******** screwed that up.I want the flowers replace today tired of Highlands employee saying SORRY and the same c*** happen over and over every year - I will be filing a small claim suit in the next few weeks.I want my husband grave stone order without delay.

Their customer service is nonexistent. I have called numerous times and they are never able to answer my questions. They always say they will call me back but they never do. My mother and I spent a lot of time picking out my dad's monument and filling out all the forms. ****** later it hadn't even been ordered because the guy who we met with quit without turning in our paperwork. If you have your loved one buried there, good luck finding them. Went there today to find my dad's gravesite. They gave me an illegible map and highlighted the plot where he is supposedly buried. Drove and walked around the garden where he was supposed to be for a long time and finally had to leave as my elderly mother was so upset because we couldn't find him. We drove all that way for nothing and we were unable to visit and decorate my dad's gravesite. If they had any decency they would take you out and show you where your loved one is buried. I wish my parents had purchased their lots somewhere else; someplace with caring and professional staff.
