    On 06.20.23 I rented a car from hertz at *************** However, Once I returned the vehicle on 07.07.23.I closed the rental agreement by paying the rental agreement with my debit card and was told that my $549.00 authorization for the rental will be credit back to my card within 72 hours.on 7.13.23 I was due to fly out with family for a vacation, I checked my card balance to sure there was enough funds to cover the rental like I normally do which I only had 229 available.I called to my card company was told that the reason there wasn't enough fund available because ***** still had the hold for $549.00 still pending to be released, I then explain to the rep at the card company that that hold should have been release by now that it has been over 72 hours. The Rep explain to me that Hertz closed the agreement on their end with my debit card and fail to send the authorization back over to be released.So, the credit card Rep. broke it all down to me because there have been an ongoing problem the way Hertz do their business with other customers and that being said was to closed the rental agreement with my debit card fail to release the Auth. and let the Auth. hold sit there after 7 to 10 business days if hertz don't claim the auth. the fund will automatically be refund to customers credit card which is unprofessional business when all they had to do was release the auth. at the time, I returned the Vehicle. So, my kid's wife and I had to cancel our vacation due to there wasn't enough funds on my card to be able to rent us a car once we arrived in ******* and there were 6 plane tickets, I had to cancel at ***** each for cancellation fees a Total of $450.00 ***** need to take all the billboards down at all customer service counters that there is the best award-winning customer service which is miss leading to all customers because that's false. I need something in complementary for my time money and inconvenience

    I rented a ****** Sentra on October 5, 2022 from Hertz in ********, ****** understanding the rental car fee for four days would be $257.61. We used the car for four days and returned it on October 9, 2022 to the same Hertz facility that we were originally quoted. I returned from my vacation to my home in NJ on October 10, 2022. I checked my debit card charges online and found that ***** had charged me an additional $323.56 as well as the $257.61. This was $323.56 more than I was quoted when I picked up the car. When I contacted the Hertz customer service they told me that I was charged $20.23 for bringing in the car one hour late (we returned the car two or three hours before the car was due). In addition they charged me $31.30 for an airport concession fee (we did not return the car to the airport, we returned to the same location we had picked it up which was in the ****************). The customer service representative informed me that the remaining charges were the charges I had agreed on when I rented the car. I also was charged $134.95 for a damage waiver and $93.90 for a liability insurance supplement, two charges that I was not shown when I rented the car because I have rental car insurance with my personal insurance company.I am asking for ***** to reimburse me $323.56 for the fees they over charged me. I googled the actual average car rental fee in the US and found that it was between $40.00 to around $64.00 per day. ***** charged me $323.56 which works out to be $145.29 a day which is an outrageous amount to charge for a rental car.Again I am asking that ***** refund me $323.56 that they overcharged me without my knowledge.
