    7/18/2022 deposit **** cash paid to Matthew Abbott for half down to do concrete patio and pergola on back side of my home. Job was to start next day on 7/19/2022 with concrete completed in four days. No call, no show, several attempts to communicate. Several days Matthew Abbot stated the patio would be done came and passed no activity. I requested a full refund. **** stated he would get the patio done. On August 4th, 2022 Matthew Abbott came to my home damaged both back yard and side yard, spread dirt over back yard, spread stone all over into side yard and some in back yard. Piled dirt around two mature trees. He did not do concrete patio pad or pergola. I contacted Matthew Abbott he stated I owed him more money, I discussed how he damaged my yard and spread gravel into my yard this was NOT part of what he was supposed to do. I asked why did you do that? Why would you not do the job you was hired to do? I asked when the job he was hired to do would be done, he stated he was out of money demanded another **** and I pre pay for the concrete on my credit card. He stated he had rent due and bills to pay. I stated he was given half down **** I would not pay him any more money until patio was done. I requested refund again. He said he would not refund the deposit and he was sending me a invoice, I asked what for? He said he had rented a bob cat for 340 I stated that I had one there for him to used for four days and he never showed back up until he showed up and destroyed my yard and damaged the side yard (heavy equipment) crushed the field tile drainage in the side yard NOT part of what he was supposed to do. I requested a refund of my **** deposit I paid him, he stated he did not owe me a refund. He never completed the concrete patio or pergola he was hired to do, only returned to damage my property. I sent him a demand letter for the return of my **** deposit. He has blocked my phone from calling him and has not returned my deposit. I want my **** deposit returned.
