October 2022 the transmission completely went out in my 2015 ***** Silverado, towed vehicle to shop and after a week the diagnosis was made and rebuild was recommended! Agreed and paid half($2450) up front and second half upon completion. 2 weeks later 10/31 I picked my truck up and paid remaining balance. Within first 24hrs I felt something wrong at certain rpm/speed and brought back to shop and was told that it was possibly to have some shudder after a rebuild and to drive it for another week or so to let the truck 'learn'. I continued to drive to and from work 134mile round trip and not to my surprise the 'shuttering' got much worse and was happening at different speeds/rpm's/shifts. I returned my truck to shop first week of November to have them diagnose issue. 2 weeks went by and I heard nothing, I called and was told that 'we been reading up on issue and added some type of fluid to trans case to help with shudder and truck will be ready the following day. I picked my truck up again the middle of November and within the first mile noticed the shutter was still happening and immediately called shop. I was told to bring it back in and a new torque converter had to be ordered and installed. After 3 weeks and again zero phone calls from shop I called and was told it would be ready the following week. I picked truck up and only made it a block and truck was shuttering harder than before, returned later that week because I was told when I called shop that it might do that with new torque converter for the first few miles. It is now the end of April 2023 and was told early this week by the new service manager that all the technicians were fired from the shop and all work has been halted. I am at a loss for what to do, I haven't missed a loan payment and I keep paying insurance because I have no freakin clue when I'll get my vehicle back. Not 1 call from shop to update me.
