    Business Response

    Date: 01/05/2024

Everything has been completed except for the patio. I had it formed and graded and ready to pour. The week I was supposed to pour it my son was sick with the flu and stayed home from school. I've been telling the homeowner that I'd rather wait for the weather to get better to pour but they insisted on pouring it. They sent me a text last week when I was home with my son being sick and stated that he was going to have someone else pout the patio and there was no need in discussing it.  I proceeded to tell him not to do that and I simply couldn't pour last week because my son was sick. He said he didn't care and it was getting poured by someone else. They still owe me 2,000 dollars for the job. The job consists of  a 50' sidewalk tear out old and form and pour new sidewalk.  It's completed.  Dig out old porch and dig footers for a 18'×12' room addition, form 2' panels around 18×12 and pour foundation  and its completed. Then the last phase is a 20'×18' patio and it was formed, graded and ready to pour. My son was sick with the flu. The total for job is 13,000. I've been paid 11,000. He had someone else do the patio because he didn't want to wait until I could get there to do it.
