I cannot get my car back after 4 months and countless promises. It was a simple fender repair.

We are aware that it has taken some time for us to complete this project. ************** who has been working on this car, had put his 2 weeks notice in, and quit after 1 week. It did put us in a bind, as he did not label anything. Bolts or parts. Our body shop manager **** has had to print off diagram after diagram to figure out which bolt goes where. We have been short handed in our body shop for a while now and with our tech quitting early, it has put us a bit further back. We are doing our best with what we have available. I walked over and checked on the car a few minutes ago, it is coming together and should be completed monday. We have spoken with the owner of this car and he is aware of the time it should be completed, as well as what the issues were/are. I will call his grandma (the complainant) and fill her in on what is going on as well.

I am rejecting this response because:

The car was picked up today but several problems remained. It is a hardtop convertible and as soon as the hood was raised, one of the pieces broke. In addition, the rear window did not raise to seal. **** spoke with ******* and he assured him that the proper parts would be ordered to repair. Car was drivable so we drove off the lot with the agreement that it would be returned for necessary work.

Yes, we are aware that a trim piece was broken when the top was being lowered. We have a replacement piece as well as clips and springs ordered. When they arrive, I will call the customer and get him on the schedule.

I am rejecting this response because:

We have not heard from dealership in regard to repairs. Also, there are multiple problems with electrical and sensors and uneven closures on window and trunk. We will be getting an estimate from a *** body shop to repair the shoddy workmanship. I dont know what else to do. This was a beautiful car before we entrusted Wabash Valley with work.

The trim piece is to be delivered today. We will do what we can with the car, then have a *** dealer finish it.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 11/17/2023

I am rejecting this response because: I do not support the fact that a *** dealer would be called in to repair the job. This was presented to me once before and it never happened. I have taken the car to a reputable body shop where work is guaranteed. It will probably cost me close to the $5900 that my insurance company has already paid to Wabash Valley, but it will be operational once again. This back and forth has to stop at some point. They should have opted out of the repair instead of taking my money and dragging it on for months.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I will now be closing this complaint and accept the fact that Wabash Valley is highly incompetent.

I bought A brand new 2022 Jeep Compass on July 5,2022 for $35,647.00 dollars. I started Noticing electrical issues with the car such as; service auto headlights, crash detection lights on the dash, Uconnect battery low, no internet signal attempting to reconnect, service shifter, battery of Uconnect box is temporary low, sos call and functions may be unavailable. Key fob undetected in the car. I took This to ******* Chrysler dodge on 8/23/22 and the technician said its 'electrical and we can not get it to recreate' gave me car back. It went back to  for all of the same issues on 9/16/22 same outcome they can not get it to recreate but adjusted the sensitivity on crash detection. They had my car for 2 days and returned it back with same issues. Tried a different dealership ************ on 10/06/22 for the same concerns and they had it for 2 days with no luck diagnosing the issues either. They advised to take it to where I bought It at Wabash Valley made an appt for 10/31 they had me sit there from 8:52 am to 10:21 and zero things were done. As well as the scratch inside my door that was caused from a **** under door they were suppose to check out and ***** said they were 'too busy to have anyone look at that' bc they are short of help. On my way home from there my service shifter light came on multiple times as well as my tire gauge is the only thing you can see On my dash now, no speed limit or anything shows. And all my lights and buttons on the steering wheel on left side do not work and when the wheel warmer is on it's extremely hot to touch. I have spoke to **** the service manager at Wabash regarding these issues and they are going to try again November 15th to see what's going on. At this point I feel The lemon law is what needs to be done with this vehicle and I start over. I should Not have this many issues in a short time and we all know electrical issues are hard to pin point and correct. At this point my request is for them to buy this car back.
