On Tuesday July 9th Glens Tire of Nappanee Indiana performed an oil change on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler. We provided the oil and filter. ***** one 5w20 full synthetic 6 quarts and an oem Mopar filter. After leaving from the oil change 16 miles down the road the vehicles check engine light comes on at which point I realize the white smoke coming from behind the vehicle. I immediately pull over and turn the vehicle off and discover all the oil has sprayed out of the oil filter housing due to an improperly seated O-ring. I am requesting a Full refund for the service, a detailed cleaning of all the oil in the engine bay and underbody, also a Warranty covering any and all damages that *** have occurred due to running out of oil. Current mileage at ******. Expected Warranty minimum of ***** miles. ******* is it stated that warranty on labor is void bringing your own OEM parts.

The customer contacted us and made us aware of the issue. We then sent any employee to his location and found that the oil filter **ring had split apart.  We replaced the **ring and the oil at no cost to him.  The customer then returned to our location and we cleaned the engine and the underbody of oil residue.  We also contacted a Jeep dealership and they confirmed that there is a motor shut down on the vehicle to prevent damage if the oil level gets to low. Although we regret that this has happened, we believe that we have done our best correcting the problem. Since the customer provided his own parts, we cannot provide any warranty on them.

I am rejecting this response because:
The engine bay was not cleaned at all. The underbody was hardly cleaned at all. What torque did you tighten the oil filter down to? The o ring was pinched in the the threads because it was improperly seated and over tightened. Your telling me the oem parts are not correct for this vehicle?

I am rejecting this response because:

These photos were taken after I took the jeep back again on my own time and waited for them to clean under the hood. All they did was spray brake dust cleaner under the hood, which is not good or recommend for the vehicle. Glens tire stated they contacted the dealership to discuss this, I did as well. The manager at the dealership stated that it was clearly a workmanship error and its embarrassing that Glens isnt owning it and making this right. The dealership also said that I did use the correct parts and that is what they recommend to use. Glens tire clearly has poorly trained mechanics that do not take ownership or pride in their work. **** is running a corrupt business that only warranties parts that they make more money off of! The dealership also stated that if they have a problem with a part that a customer brings in, they notify the customer before proceeding with the job and then blaming the parts after they were improperly installed. Such an unprofessional approach to conducting business. After all this I still had to spend over an hour cleaning burnt oil out of the engine bay and frame. Just admit you made a mistake it happens! Do the right thing. I payed for a service and did not receive the service properly. Refund me.
