    I took my pony into facility on Saturday evening and they returned my call after evaluation and told me he was in alot of pain in his feet and put pads on them and give him some pain medication. next day I get a call and he got alot worse and told me they had to put him in a higher level of care and it might cost more we were only at a few hundred before and then another call came and they needed my permission to put him down don't understand and I never told them to cremate him and they did 30 lbs of him charges on bill I have no idea what they were for I feel they took advantage of a old ****** they over charged me

    We are writing in response to case ID ********.

    Our hospital administration has completed an internal review of Apollo's case as referenced in ********************** complaint and determined the following:

    When ****** was admitted to our Equine Hospital, he was more gravely ill than he initially appeared to be during his initial intake. Over the course of his treatment, our hospital clinicians & staff kept in contact with **************** and consulted with the veterinarian that had referred the case to us. ****************** was provided updates at each stage of Apollo's rapidly deteriorating condition, appraised of treatment options, and provided their estimated costs. All of these she approved via phone calls to the treating clinician and staff.

    We greatly understand the pain of losing a loved one and are deeply saddened that ******'s outcome was not a positive one. Which is why our hospital administration has contacted ****************** and offered her a good-will write off for a portion of the charges accrued during Apollo's treatment.
