Kolton was an ok agent until it came time to switch insurance companies due to better coverage and deal. Numerous attempts were made to get my policy cancelled before renewal, each time I was met with very disrespectful customer service and no one ever confirmed that my policy had been cancelled. I called the corporate State *********** and they directed me back to Kolton and his team, finally after over a week of *************** with the agent I finally got confirmation from them that our policy had been sent in for cancellation. The cancellation confirmation came with a very disrespectful email send off. This level of customer service should not be tolerated anywhere and I will no longer work with State Farm and especially Kolton Blickenstaff because of it. My review of this agent gets an F-.

Hi *****, I'm not sure what the disconnect is for you. You requested to cancel your policies. As we mentioned our goal is to make sure that you are receiving the same or better coverage where you are going. Most of the time our clients appreciate this even if we end up not seeing any differences. When you threatened me with a lawyer since it's not a legal requirement we decided you didn't want our help and cancelled your policies as requested 10/1. You then were irritated the policies still reflected active as of today 10/3. I informed you that your policies were cancelled and that they are worked in date order by our underwriters. I think it's a mutual decision that you will not be welcome back in our office as you have been pretty difficult as we've been trying to help.

Hi Kolton, as I mentioned in my comment above it took an insane amount of time for you to cancel my policy asking me to provide the new insurance companies declaration page. I said I had it handle please confirm cancellation as of 10/1, in which I got a reply that I needed to provide the declaration page to you. I declined to do so stating that I have weighed the options and would like you to provide confirmation that my policy had been cancelled. To which I got no reply, after a few days as my new policy was starting 10/1, I spoke to my lawyer to see if it was a legal requirement for me to provide that information to you, obviously it was not. I still did not have confirmation at that point and he informed me to state in clear terms that I need confirmation of cancellation, which I included an industry standard cancellation form signed by me, for your convenience. To which I got an email stating " It's not a big deal. It doesnt matter to me what day you cancel. We review and if its in your best interest we say congrats on saving whatever amount it is and move on. Ill cease any communication moving forward since you've got it under control." Yet again I did not get a confirmation that the actual policy had been cancelled. Come Monday 10/3/2022, I check my account and see that I have a renewal email and that my upcoming bill is due. I checked the app and nothing had been done and my auto pay still had not been cancelled. I sent another email asking why my policy had not been cancelled and I get a very disgruntled email from you stating, " I can assure you that your policy had been cancelled. We submitted the changes to our underwriters. They process the change in the order they are recieved throughout the enterprise. I don't control the timing of this. Please do not contact me any longer. You've been course and disrespectful. Ill not work with anyone that treats people that are trying to help in this manner. If you reviewed your billing you should be able to see your automatic payments have been caused. Do not contact our office again." I rechecked that app and finally on 10/3 my policy had been cancelled and my autopay had been paused. So talk about disrespectful, I chose to leave to a different insurance company because State Farm was not in my family's best interest, which is my right, and because you did not want to lose a client/money stream you chose to handle it in a very disrespectful manner. You literally could have stated in your first reply, after I declined to give you the new companies declaration page, that your policy will be cancelled as of 10/1/2022. I would not have had all this back and fourth, instead you decided to handle it is a very disrespectful manner. You in no way were trying to help. It is not a problem that you do not want to work with me in the future because I would not work with you if you were the last agent around. Additionally, I will not ever work with State Farm Insurance either. My original review and grade of your efforts stands.
