purchase date: 08/14/2024 purchase amount: $10,220.00 vehicle VIN: ***************** vehicle make/model: 2008 ***** RX 350 I called this dealership because I found a car advertised on cars.com. Based on the photos provided, a test drive of the vehicle and several conversations with the dealership owner, ****, I took a chance on buying this car from him. I asked him to disclose any issues on the car and asked him if he would trust this vehicle enough to drive his family in it. He said there was nothing to disclose and that he would trust it. As soon as I took possession of the vehicle I brought it to a repair shop under the assumption that there was some overdue maintenance as there tends to be with used cars. To my dismay, it turns out there were MAJOR issues with rust to the degree that even the bolts could not be removed and major components would need to be rebuilt costing upwards of $10,000. I called **** at Evolution Autos to explain my findings and asked to return the vehicle to him. His employee told me he would not do anything and the vehicle was my problem now and that they "have lawyers" as a threat towards me. **** knew there were some significant and obvious problems with this vehicle and did not disclose this information. And then he had an employee threaten me with their lawyers. This is not an honorable way to operate a business. I can't even safely drive myself home in this car after I get off work, much less safely pick up my newborn and toddler from daycare on my way home. I've been taken advantage of and the BBB is my last hope to make things right, since this business says that they will not take resonsibility for lying to me and selling me an unsafe car.

A ***** equinox was bought on 7/20/2023 for about ******. As I was leaving the lot 2 maintenance lights turned on. We were told it was probably the oil needing changed. We took it to a place to do that, and immediately to a garage for repair. Found out it had a life threatening gas leak from the fuel pump into the oil. This can cause an explosion. They told us the code had cleared for the check engine maintenance light. We also replaced 4 door seals (which we knew about already). Totaling ********. Within 2 days we got 2 more maintenance lights come on and needed 1 break pad replaced and 2 rotors replaced even though we were told the brakes had just been replaced totaling ******. Then on 8/18/23 the car would not start. Was told the wiring was corroded and needed replaced for the starter circuit and he is starting to believe the car was in a flood from all the issues he is seeing. This repair was ******. Two days later the car will not start again and is back in the shop for maintenance. I have called the store 2 times. First time to return to my voicemail & second time the owner said we bought the car as is and to take him to court. The car was clearly altered to appear in better condition by clearing codes. We have also spend money on replacing items in the car that were missing but we were aware of those when sold.

The automobile was sold under the explicit condition of being AS-IS, and this condition was duly acknowledged by the customer as evidenced in the purchase documentation. Evolution Autos maintains a consistent standard of treating its entire clientele with politeness and professionalism, and it is expected that customers reciprocate this approach.
Claims devoid of substantial evidence are not accorded significant consideration. The subject vehicle was procured a duration of 31 days prior to the present date, and it is noteworthy that communication from your end has been received only today.

I was sold a car on March 10, 2023. I put down a $2000 deposit and financed the remainder, a little over $11,000. It is a 2011 ****** Forester 2.5XT Touring. My dad and I looked the car over, and it looked okay. We test drove it, but were only allowed to test drive a certain very short route that would not allow me to drive over 55mph, and it was not long enough for the car to show its overheating issue since the entire route was only about a mile. They do not allow you to test drive anywhere else. I bought the car and stayed in town with family that night, and then drove it back to my home in **********, ** the next morning. On the way home, it stared overheating and getting extremely close to the red zone on the gauge. I barely made it home safely and turned it off the rest of the day. The next day, I tried to drive to Auto Zone to test the cooling system, but it actually had a mechanical failure on the way and shut down on me in the middle of a four way intersection, endangering me and other cars around me. I took it to a preferred company on my car warranty's website and they said "nothing was wrong" with it even though it continued to get too hot while driving, and you had to keep refilling coolant daily. I finally got it in to the ****** dealership to be looked at by reputable professional mechanics, and it has a blown head gasket. This car was sold to me as a running car in good condition, and it had a busted head gasket, which is impossible to tell from a one mile test drive, and the dealership knew this. I called the owner immediately when the breakdown occurred, and he only offered to have his mechanic look at the problem, which was impossible due to the car being on the side of the road, unable to start. When I told him this, he basically said that was too bad, and it was my fault for buying a car out of state. I have missed countless days of work because of this car, and the owners solution is that I pay the warranty company to have it fixed.
