For the last two years, 2020 & 2021 I contracted with Silver Leaf Lawn and Landscape to perform weekly mowing of my lawn at a cost of $41.33. Each year in March I paid the total for the season, about $1300 plus an additional $345 for eight chemical fertilizing's. In November 2021 I informed ****, the sales receptionist that I was satisfied with the service and would not be renewing in 2022. In March 2022 I contracted with a new lawn company paying them in full for the season. In early April the new company performed the first cut of my lawn on a Tuesday then on Friday Silver Leaf cut my lawn without my authorization. I called them immediately to inform them that I was no longer contracted with them and will not pay the $41.33. Two months later I got a bill requesting payment. After several calls to reach someone, it took another month and a half, I was able to speak with **** who said she didn't recall talking with me about canceling. I reminded her and also told her that I always pay in full and had not this year because I cancelled any additional service. A month later I began receiving harassing Collection Service letters and receive at least one letter every other week. The letters have driven me into depression.

At the beginning of the season invoices are created for all recurring prepay customers. Then an informational invoice is sent out (via email) to all customers of what the balance is with the 10% discount. We were having trouble with Mr. ***** email saying it was invalid and not delivered. Both **** and ******* tried to reach out to him over the phone with no luck, the phone number was out of service or not correct. We then sent an invoice through the mail to the address we have on file for him. We had no response back from him until after the first service was completed and he called in to say he did not wish to use our services. We had no information prior to this interaction that he wished to discontinue service.

I did not have any type of agreement, signed or otherwise with Silver Leaf. They mowed my lawn without authorization.
In November of 2021 and in March of 2022 I informed this business that I no longer needed their services. This was reported to **** both times. That’s why I was surprised that they mowed my lawn in April without my approval. I called them immediately after I returned home and informed them that I don’t have a contract with them.
The services they provide was below my standards and resulted in lines of grass dug up from the wheels of their riding motors. This was in 2021. Their records of my calls should be available.
The two years I utilized their service I prepaid for the whole season and got the 10% discount. This had to be completed by March each year which I did both years. This to should have been evidence of my departure.
Silver Leaf needs to show my where I was contracted for a service in 2022! There was never an agreement with them.

      Mr. *****,

I have gone through 6,923 phone calls between the dates of 10/1/21-3/31/22 and found no record of your calls. On our invoices it states
"Fertilizing and Mowing customers: Services will continue year-to-year unless you proactively cancel services ************"

As far as prepaying, yes you did prepay for 35 weeks of mowing. You then continued services through Dec 9th 2021 paying monthly until the end of the year. If there was an issue with the quality of work performed you should have contacted us so that we could make it right. We also tried to email you on multiple occasions and all came back to us. Specifically on March 31st 2022 and April 8th 2022 we sent emails letting you know the dates that we would begin mowing. We had no valid phone number on file until you called us after we mowed your yard on 4/13/22.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Assumed Answered]

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: My representative at this business was ****. I complained to her about the services on several occasions. The end of 2021 and again in 2022, March, I informed her that I would not return. Both year with you I prepaid and informed that I do not do month to month. Also I got the prepaid discount. Please show my where I was informed of your need to call to cancel, which is what I did, twice. **** should be feeling really good about herself for lying and denying my communication with her. God will certainly bless you for this. If this fake charge is not removed from me I will post this bogus charge on **** **** until it’s shut down by **. Also I will build a flyer and personally deliver it to all the homes you service in ****** *****.
Again, no sign contract, no agreement for another year, and informed you twice, ****, of my move away from you. This has been a complete waste of my time and yours. I have lost over $41 in time.

      Regards,

      **** *****
