Original total: $23332.50, with $7837.50 downpayment. That amount changed when 2 more piers were added to $26125.00. "Technicians will then backfill and pack the excavated areas." All work was to be done from inside that garage. Excess sand was discovered and it was agreed to have the East section of piers done from the outside. The bid was changed to $28975.00. Work was scheduled to take place 9-13 June 2025. Things went well until 12 June when I was informed it would be $4200 extra to pack the sand - which was sitting on my lawn. The structural engineer and I sent an email to Lamunyon: "Alex, the original bid was submitted for $23,332.50. I sent you the concern from the engineer stating that the backfill needed to be compacted and that there were not enough piers.

The bid was changed to compact and add more piers. That bid price was $26,125.00.

It is industry standard that when an engineer states to compact that is not pushing down on the fill with a bucket. It is consolidation of materials so that the fill will not consolidate further. It is my expectation that the contract price be adhered to and I receive industry standard compaction. I understand that due to the sand the price is $28,975.00 and that is what I expect to pay."

Alex showed at my house on 13 June. He said he would break even with $2000. We agreed on $1900 - mainly because I felt I had to as I had 2 open excavated areas that needed to be filled and packed correctly to support the structure.

The work was done. I want Lamunyon to honor their bid for $28975.00 and refund the $1900.00 that I, as a retiree and DAV, can use.

***** as I stated when I arrived at your home to discuss the matter the notes in your bid should have been changed on the final revision, but since we asked the sales person who was on vacation to handle it he missed that part. As I stated on June 13th we should have rescheduled your project until he returned so it could be handled properly. I have receipts for additional equipment rental that was not part of the initial bid as well as overtime labor, per diem expense, and an added night in a hotel room that adds up to more than $1900.00. I will make you a deal. Once you remove your bad review from Google I will personally deliver you a check for $1900.00.
