My Maytag dryer stopped working. I called Todd Belt Appliance to look at it and do the repairs. Nathan from Todd Belt Appliance came out. He replaced the blower wheel and belt. The dryer worked after but began to make loud screeching noises. He came out the second time after my calling him about the problem but his answer was maybe something got trapped into the blower wheel. I decided to get a second opinion with another appliance repair company. The second company found that the blower wheel was cracked and broken. I called Todd Belt back and spoke to Nathan. I explained to Nathan that the new wheel he installed was broken and that I would like either a credit or refund. He out right refused. I asked him to look at the blower wheel and he refused. He said if I was going to be a disloyal customer and have another company give me a second opinion he was not going to give me any credit or refund. I would not do any business with Todd Belt Appliance. They are rude and disloyal to their customers.

      Hi Joseph,

I apologize for being rude. I know that is something I can be better at and I appreciate you letting me know how you felt. Your public comment hurts. I thought we got along well since I had just successfully repaired your dishwasher which was leaking and flooded your kitchen. I know you said your insurance adjuster was pleased with the requested paperwork I provided for your claim. Maybe you could have given me two stars ;-)

I presume my good performance is why you called me back to look at your dryer. I determined that the blower wheel was stripped and therefore not blowing any air out. On 3/22/24, I replaced that blower wheel and tested it—working good again. I also fixed your other venting issues by cleaning out the vent tubes from the outside of the house and replacing some venting inside. We replaced the drum belt and spring pulley which were in poor condition—you agreed. I inspected your rollers. They were good--I just lubricated them. When I left, everything was working.

You than left messages over the weekend and early Monday morning saying it was making noises, and I came back Tuesday at 8 am. Unfortunately, when I came back, it was not making any noises, so I suggested that you call me when it happened again and I’d stop by and figure it out--anytime. By that time, I now know, you had your second opinion lined out. Once your friend from Peabody looked at it, he reported (per the voicemails you left) that my blower wheel was cracked, and that I must have put it in that way?? He said it needed replaced again. He also said you needed new rollers. You called me and insisted I refund you money, but all I can do is replace a failed part. I would have done that, if needed, but you were already hell bent against me. I was not given the opportunity.

I’m sorry that this did not work out for us. My loyalty and relationship with you and all my customers is paramount. I would never betray you or anyone. Thanks, Joseph, for your feedback.

      Sincerely,
      Nathan
