    They are not answering my calls are returning messages to end service at this address. They are still billing me even though I have left messages to end services since I’m am saling the property. They have not answered any of my calls are returned my messages.

    Purchased our home in summer of 1996 and signed up with ***** *** ******** *********** *** to provide home alarm monitoring. Years ago, not sure how long ago, American Alarm Services, Inc. took over ***** *** ******** ***********. We have not utilized our home alarm system for quite some time. On Friday, April 28th, 2023 we decided to change security companies and phoned American Alarm Services, Inc at ************ to cancel their service. I left a voice mail Friday late morning and did not receive a return call. I phoned American Alarm Services again Friday mid afternoon and again left a voice mail. On May 2nd, 2023 I phoned again and left another message. This company is obviously not monitoring our alarm. When the new alarm conpany installed their equipment and disabled American's system, police should have been dispached. I have no idea how long American Alarm Services has not provided alarm services.
    We pay for quarterly monitoring and my account was charged on 4/10/23 in the amount of $*****. At the minimum this amount should be returned. In my opinion, American Alarm Services is ********** and should be investigated.

    IN RESPONSE- I'M SORRY THE CUSTOMER FEELS THAT WAY! AS ALL OUR CONTRACTS STATE! WE NEED TO HAVE 30 NOT MORE THAN 60 DAYS PRIOR WRITTEN WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT DATE! IT HAS TO BE DATE STAMPED BY MAIL DATE CERTIFIED ! IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE SIGNED FOR AS LONG AS THEY HAVE A RECEIPT FROM THE POST OFFICE THAT IT WAS DELIVERED! LEAVING A MESSAGE ON THE 24HR SERVICE LINE WILL NOT CANCEL SERVICE! WE CANNOT CANCEL SERVICE WITH JUST A PHONE CALL FOR SECURITY REASONS OR ANYONE COULD CANCEL ANYONES ALARM SERVICE AND THEN ROB THE PLACE!!!! AMERICAN ALARM SERVICES INC. DID NOT BUY OUT ***** *** ******** *********** **. AMERICAN ALARM SERVICES INC. IS THE MONITORING FACILITY AND ***** *** ******** *********** **. IS THE INSTALLATION AND SERVICE COMPANY! THE DATES GIVEN THAT THEY CALLED WAS APRIL 28TH. 2023 TO CANCEL. EVEN IF IT WAS ACCEPTABLE TO MERELY CALL IN AND CANCEL WITHOUT NOTICE! THE  AUTO DRAFT HAD ALREADY HAD OCCURED ON THE 7TH OF APRIL! IT IS ALSO THE CUSTOMER THAT IS REQUIRED TO PUT IN A REQUEST TO THERE BANK OR CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO STOP PAYMENTS ALONG WITH THE VERIFIED CANCELLATION LETTER! WE CANNOT JUST STOP PAYMENT AND CANCEL SERVICE WITH A SIMPLE PHONE REQUEST WHEN YOUR DEALING WITH SOMEONES SECURITY AND LIFE SAFETY!! CANCELING ALARM SERVICE IS NOT LIKE CANCELING A MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION!! THE CONTRACTS  ARE AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED EACH YEAR JUST LIKE INSURANCE CONTRACTS! WE WILL SUBMIT THIS INFORMATION TO BILLING !!! WE WILL STILL NEED A VERIFIED CANCELLATION LETTER IN WRITING! THIS BBB COMPLAINT ALSO DOES NOT SERVE AS A CANCELLATION NOTICE AS ANYONE COULD HAVE SENT IN THE COMPLAINT!!! THE BILLING DEPARTMENT WILL THEN PULL UP THE CONTRACT DATES! ON ANOTHER NOTE!  WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 35 YEARS!!!! THE OPINION OF THE CUSTOMER THAT WE ARE FRAUDULENT IS BASED ON PHONE CALLS NOT RETURNED WHEN CALLING INTO THE 24HR SERVICE EMERGENCY LINE!! THE CUSTOMER IS ENTITLED THEIR OPINION AS LONG AS THE COMMENTS ARE NOT DEFAMATORY OR SLANDEROUS IN NATURE ABOUT OUR COMPANY! WE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 35 YEARS FOR A REASON!! REGARDS

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Company failed to explain why calls have not been returned. Is their another number to call besides the ************? That number is listed on their web page under "Contact us at..."? To my knowledge I have not signed a contract with American Alarm Services Inc. I request a signed copy of this contract. When ***** *** ******** ************ equipment was disarmed and removed, why did that not trigger a response from the alarm monitoring company, or police dispatched? Apparently American Alarm Services Inc. was not monitoring our system. How long has that been going on? If American Alarm Services Inc. and ***** *** ******** *********** *** are not the same company, why do they share the same address and phone number?
