    DH Home Improvement LLC (Hays, KS) got paid half the amount for a shower job that never happened. I paid three checks to ****** of $1100 each. After 16 months I requested the money back. I also never signed any contract for this job (which is strange and unprofessional). The first payment was made May 2023. ** ****** said he would pay me back but has not. I am limited to what I can do, as I cannot even be represented by an attorney for a small claim. I want a full refund of a job that never happened. That job has not been done and I had to cancel it as I need the money for other payments I have now. I have only one salary to pay my bills. I have emails between ****** and me explaining the payments I made, the job to be done, and the request for refund, which he was supposed to make. He initially agreed to pay me back, but I have not received any money from him.
    To have to wait for more than a year to get a job done when you have paid half the amount of the job is unacceptable. After 16 months, I decided to cancel the job. I would like a refund.
