This company poured a concrete drive for me. The work done looked horrible with a very poor finish. The big issue is that the work was so defective that the drive began cracking within a few months. The owner only wants to repair the cracks.

**** ** ***** *****. Owner of the Company AR Hardscaping LLC.

I **** ** ***** ***** I had the chance to work with the contractor ******* ******. ( ****** ******** *****.) On a job Located in Odessa MO. Where we made 3 wooden dumpsters, 6” concrete floor and 6” thick metal. He contacted us through a recommendation from a friend, where he had previously seen and found our work interesting.
That project had been closed with a total budget of $34,364.49
    $7,454.83 For each dumpster (3)
$6,000 of gravel in two of three units
$6,000 of concrete. in one of 3 units
Mr. Larios sent a message telling us that he had sent the price to the client, where he based his numbers on his own results due to “confusion” when we previously sent the amounts by messages and emails as well as we did them together in my office located in **** ************* *** KCMO 64130 Even though we have that evidence we had to lower the price since they accepted the job with the wrong numbers. The company AR Hardscaping LLC does not like to look bad with its clients and we closed the deal with him again since he felt very bad and embarrassed, and we told him that it was fine although there would be no profit on our part.
    It closed at $26,625.00
    $4,875 for each dumpster (3)
$6,000 of gravel in two units
$6,000 of concrete in one unit.
Making us lose an amount of $7,739.49
We received two checks, the first was for $8,000 and the second was for $15,625. A total of $23,625.00 owing $3,000.
With The contractor ********* ****** we lost a total amount of $10,739.49 because he took out his own accounts and sent them incorrectly to the main client.
Those two times, even one more. I, **** ******** ***** *****, forgave him for those mistakes because I believe that everyone deserves second chances, and he came to my office directly asking me to please try to help him because he had already given his word to the client.
On approximately September 4, construction of a driveway for his house began. We finished the driveway on September 8, 2023. During this time, Mr. ******* ****** was present on top of the project. This driveway was charged in the amount of $11,400.00
On March 30, 2024, *** ******** ****** called me to inform me that the driveway had cracks, which I asked for photographs. I offered to fix it, however he did not accept. He mentioned that he wanted a new driveway because if we fixed it would change color. I let him know that it could be painted, but that we would use the same concrete and that the cracks were not deep or large and that it would not look different. He refused again saying he wanted a completely new driveway. All this over the phone. He told me to abide by the consequences and he would hire a lawyer. I told him to do what he believed was right.
On March 30, he sent me photos of the cracks and on July 4, he asked me when I would fix his driveway, to which I responded that I would be happy to fix the problem but that I would not build a new driveway.
Of all this I attach evidence and files.
After this, one of my best clients sent a message to my secretary where she confirmed that *** ******** told her that she should not keep given us more work trying to make us look bad in front of our client as well as spreading my name and that of my company. I have been working for this client for more than a year in the Leawood area, a strict area regarding permits and residential zones where we have all the licenses, materials and insurance to carry out this work. I am a very demanding person and even on my own, without being asked by my client, I went back to remake concrete steps without any charge at all because I try to leave my clients satisfied since they are the ones who recommend us.
We have done work for the city where when this type of incident happens, they ask us to seal the cracks with special self-leveling sealant for concrete since they themselves have told us that there is no guarantee for concrete because you never know what could happen.

I write this response because I consider it unfair that they want to defame us in this way, wanting to make us lose customers and even more so when we have forgiven him a debt of almost the price of the driveway itself, even he is asking for more than what he was charged.

AR HARDSCAPING LLC has gladly and politely taken on the task of always asking our clients if they are satisfied as well as giving them ideas, inviting them to always have more options and we do not have problems with anyone, on the contrary our material distributors give good comments to their clients and they recommend us, we always try to find solutions however today I had to respond with truths hoping that this incident can be solved. In advance, thank you to each and every one of our clients for trusting us and providing us with work every day.
    CAREFULLY, **** ** ***** *****
    AR HARDSCAPING LLC.
I give my word that what is said is true and I attach proof.
